A customer avatar is a fictional person who has the same needs, pain points, and wants as the customer you want to serve.

it is simply your target market.

Why Do You Need A Customer Avatar?

You need a customer avatar to understand who you are trying to sell to.

Selling to everyone is like selling to no one.

As a business owner or entrepreneur, You should focus on how your products or services are going to benefit your clients not so much about what you sell or offer.

✅ Step 1- Identifying Who Your Ideal Customers Are Today And Where They want To Be.

The gap in between that, is your product or service.

- Who are your ideal customers?

- What do they want?

- What is in their way? ( what is stopping them from getting the results they want?)

After you've gone through this process, make a list of all the results your ideal customer desires and all the obstacles they are working to overcome.

✅ Step 2- Demographic Information.

This includes their age, race, sex, employment, income level, location, level of education etc.

You can get this from:

- Previous client data- write down their name, location, age, gender etc.

- Social data (social media).

Make a list of 3 different companies or brand your ideal customers are going to.

Go through their sales process, look at their landing pages, comment section etc.

This procedure simply involves pulling back the results and obstacles that are discussed in the marketing messages and what your ideal customers are talking about in order to add them to your data.

After all this steps and information, compile it into a customer avatar that you can use whenever you are creating contents or writing sales messages.

This is going to be your source to come back to when you are creating something for your ideal customer to make sure everything you write and produced Is focused on them.

Ask yourself what will stop them from buying.

For example, if your ideal customer is married, they might need to speak to their partner before making a decision

Tackle all the sales objections and add it in your sales message for an effective marketing.

Boom

Now you know who you are supposed to be reaching out to, how to reach out to them, why they need your products and services and how to handle their sales objections.

Your customer avatar is key to experiencing marketing and sales success.

Stop talking to everyone and start talking to someone.
