The Abia State command of the Nigeria Police has urged the public to ignore the radio announcement made by one Barr. Jasper Ejimofor to the effect of ownership of a property, formerly known Okata Erote in Umuahia North LGA of the State.

The command says the property situated in-between Cedar Estate and Cocoa Research Institute along Umuahia/Bende road in Umuahia North LGA is now known and referred to as Nigeria Police Housing Estate and belongs to the Nigeria Police Force.

Abia State's command of the Nigeria Police in a release on Thursday made available to ABN TV said the property in question is being developed by Chidakos Integrated Company Limited on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force which authority, the developers have to advertise its acquisition to the general public.

The release added, "That there is no pending injunction on the property, against the developer or the Nigeria Police Force in any Court ;

"That any person or group contending ownership of the property should channel such contention to the Nigeria Police Force while the said, Barr. Jasper Ejimofor and his cohorts should seek redress in the Court rather than resort to deceit or mischief;

"The public is therefore enjoined to disregard any publication or radio announcements caused by Barr. Jasper Ejimofor and his allies on the afore-said property and pursue their interests toward the property acquisition as earlier advertised."
