Vladimir Putin's back is against the wall. He knows that he cannot win this war in Ukraine.

Russia controls 20% of the Ukrainian territory, but it will not be able to go further, because it is bogged down.

Putin probably realizes that he has put himself in an inextricable situation and that the only way out is a defeat of the Russian army which could cost him his place in the Kremlin.

Putin dreamed of greatness for Russia, he is going to offer to the Russian people a country vassal of China and pariah of the West. All Putin has done since February 2022 is to finish weakening Russia a little more, whose future does not exist as long as he is in power.

If he is not in the news, it is probably because he is looking for a way out of this odious and stupid war that he has started.

But Ukraine is not going to be satisfied with a division of its territory in two as Putin will end up proposing before his fall. Ukraine wants its entire territory back, including Crimea. Putin will have to try to resist a humiliating defeat that will come sooner or later.

The big question is whether the Russian people will allow him to stay in the Kremlin, or whether, like other dictators before him, this humiliating defeat will be the end of his power...
