As the date for campaign proper draws closer, Political parties and their candidates are putting all measures in place to ensure a smooth nationwide campaign with security being on the top agenda owing to the level of insecurity plaguing some parts of the country


For this reason, Peter Obi is taking no chances and has recruited members of IPOB and their ESN to head and man his personal security squad in the east.

In the northeast, Obi has appointed his trusted security adviser who headed the dreaded Akwuzu FSARS station in Anambra.

He had it in his powers to conduct a state judiciary inquiry into the activities of the Akwuzu SARS as all cases being investigated by Nwafor are prosecuted by the Anambra Public Prosecutors office before a State high court.

He could have even deployed a Judiciary team to audit all inmates detained at SARS longer than the stipulated 48hts and demanded why the inmates were not arraigned before a state high court.
Inmates at Nwafor's SARS spent months shackled up before being released after paying huge sums or extra judiciary executed by Nwafor's men.

As the number 1 law man in the state , he had the powers to look into allegations of torture, illegal detentions, extortion, rapes and executions carried out by Nwafor and his team which Obi as governor can not deny he knew nothing of since tonnes of petitions from victims, their relatives and even civil rights advocacy groups flooded his office.

Obi did nothing .

And went as far as making sure Nwafor maintained his post as Chief torurer and executionist of Anambra state.
