Quantum AI Is Coming, Are We Ready? by Jesiccalis2d: 5:05pm On Sep 06, 2022
Quantum computing will transform everything from simulation and modeling to artificial intelligence (AI), but it is certain that people are not ready for the arrival of quantum AI.

Quantum computing is closer and more powerful than people think. While quantum computing technology is at least a decade away from reaching its full potential, quantum simulators and the current generation of quantum computers are already starting to get some real work done.

It turns out that quantum computers are inherently better at simulating and interacting with reality because the natural world is not just made up of ones and zeros. The more complex the problem, the better a quantum computer can handle it.

Quantum computing applications initially focused on logistics-type problems associated with many moving parts. For example, it is being heavily used by government departments and businesses for logistics management, including self-driving vehicles used by the military. Traditional computers are still powerful enough, and since the life and death of an army depends on logistics and logistics, a more efficient tool using quantum computing is needed.

In addition, quantum computing applied to emerging smart weapons, such as drone swarms, can centrally control and locate drones for maximum impact more efficiently. Taken together, these two applications can give the military an edge.

Other use cases for quantum computing are emergency response modeling and execution. Quantum computers are used to plan for major disasters. It then helps to make available resources to those who need them most, and to develop evacuation plans and change dynamically based on the situation at the time.

What will happen to quantum computing + artificial intelligence? Things get interesting when quantum computing technology is added to artificial intelligence. Quantum computing could give artificial intelligence the ability to simulate emotions, behaving like people's emotions. While that alone doesn't mean it's sentient, it's hard to tell the difference. Quantum AI is better at responding to complex signals, such as expressions, eye movements, and body language, problems and challenges that traditional computers struggle to solve. Therefore, quantum computing + artificial intelligence will be applied in many fields, such as Biometric turnstile.

Quantum AI will also have significant advantages in auditing, looking at every transaction to see if it might be fraudulent or a policy violation with associated metadata. Current human audit organizations often do not have the resources and capacity to conduct 100% audits, and there are many omissions because they must operate from a much smaller sample.

Another area where quantum AI will have a significant impact is in the government sector, as corruption and bribery can be identified. Quantum AI can more efficiently allocate limited daily resources, especially during disasters, and more accurately assess responsibility for complex decisions.

Quantum computing will be a major industrial advantage

While quantum computing is still far from reaching its potential, it has already shown viability in several fields. These areas include the military (such as logistics and weapons), smart cities, government management, emergency response, modeling and simulation, where quantum computing is capable of handling complex problems far beyond traditional computers.

These capabilities will be game-changers for the military, governments and businesses that will be the first to use the technology effectively. In any highly complex market (like stock trading) and environment, there are huge advantages. Those businesses and organizations that don't have access to this technology will be left behind.

Luckily there is still time, but time is running out. If governments, companies or individuals have access to quantum technology, they will have a huge advantage, so prepare for the arrival of quantum AI
