The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the recent visit of Bola Tinubu, its 2023 Presidential Candidate to former President Goodluck Jonathan was a strategic move for national unity and cohesion.

Mr Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary made the explanation in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Morka said the move was worthy of commendation and emulation, adding that the alleged outburst against the visit by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) betrayed its extreme hypocrisy and folly.

“Rattled by the recent statesmanly visit of our Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The opposition PDP has hit the panic button in a false alarm, saying the move won’t help our candidate and party.”

He further stated that the PDP has proven itself a party afflicted with chronic myopia, lacking in vision and incapable of recognising the imperative of elevating the common good of our country above partisan quibbles.

According to him, PDP’s obsession with puerile partisanship blinds it to existential and strategic opportunities to heal old wounds, mend fences and build bridges of national unity and harmony. The APC spokesperson stressed that it was sad that the PDP would rather fan the embers of hate and division.

“The PDP’s track record of 16 years of misrule, corruption and squandermania, remains indelible in the consciousness of Nigerians.

“Contrary to PDP’s laughable claim that the duo of Asiwaju Tinubu and Sen. Shettima are distancing themselves from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration

[b]“It is on record that this government deftly managed two economic recessions, and pulled the nation back from the precipice where PDP’s years of atrocious rule left it hanging precariously,” [/b]he said.

Morka said the APC and its presidential candidate were seeking the mandate of Nigerians to consolidate on the foundation of restoration and greatness that had been laid across all sectors by the Buhari administration.

He added that the PDP and its co-peddlers of hate and disunity could not stop this noble aspiration.

We've never been this divided before but here they are talking about national unity. It's baffling how majority of Nigerians jettisoned a well versed man (though had his short comings) and rigorously forced a dullard with health challenges. Bola Ahmed Tinubu aka Ogunlere Amoda spent over 4 years cooking up lies and propaganda against Goodluck Jonathan that made most Yorubas to hate Goodluck and joined hands with Northerners to vote out Goodluck in 2015, promising to jail Goodluck and all the key politicians in PDP that served under Goodluck.


They used Omoyele Sowore and his Saharareporters online news website to peddle all manner of lies against Goodluck, even accused Goodluck of training snipers and militants that will invade Nigeria and cause civil war if Goodluck loses the election.


They constructed a coffin and drew Goodluck on it and put RIP and carried it all over Lagos shouting RIP to Goodluck. They painted goat Goodluck and paraded it around town mocking Goodluck.


The same Bola Tinubu that used to be very vocal in condemning Goodluck and others kept praising Buhari's failure even till date just because he wants to deceive Buhari and his Northern supporters into helping him rig the election to make him next President. Yet the same Bola Tinubu is campaigning with the slogan: "Hope is coming" meaning he agrees that Buhari and his APC have rendered Nigeria hopeless yet some senseless heartless Nigerians are supporting these demons desperate for power to loot, steal and destroy like they always do.


Bola Tinubu said He and Buhari will change Nigeria to London, and that under Buhari and APC which he became the National Leader, that Goodluck and all PDP office holders under Goodluck will be prosecuted and jailed for corruption.


7 years later, APC is now made up of 80% of the PDP politicians Tinubu and Buhari and APC promised to prosecute and jail for corruption.


7 years later, Bola Tinubu that said Goodluck must be jailed for corruption went back to Goodluck to beg him to forgive him for all the lies he told against him, begging Goodluck to please join hands in helping him become President in 2023.
