The Effurun-Warri roundabout has often been described as the gateway to the oil city of Warri. Despite being a federal infrastructure, the road is not getting the necessary attention it deserves.
Nevertheless, the state government ought to play a viral role either in ensuring those responsible for it do their work, or does its part in ensuring the road is fixed. Warri metropolis is pivotal to the overall economy of Delta state. Governor Okowa, since he became governor concentrated efforts in developing only the state capital, Asaba to the detriment of Warri and environs which produce the resources for which it collects 15% derivatives from the federal government.. Even DESSOPADEC which was set up to develop oil producing areas is simply a conduit pipe for stealing.

I remember my days at PTI I usually pass through this road that is now an eyesore.
We lack maintenance culture in this country.
