Before Buhari, virtually all of Nigeria's National Assets had been sold by the past administrations. Nitel, NEPA, Nigeria Airways, Osogbo Steel Rolling Mills, Nigerian Machine Tools Limited, Aluminium Smelting Company (Ascon) in Akwa Ibom state, Ajaokuta Steel Company, NICON NOGA/HILTON, etc.

The reasons they gave for selling these National assets at giveaway prices was that they were not performing. Today, virtually all of these national assets are COMPLETELY DEAD.

After they sold NEPA/PHCN to themselves, they still went ahead to give billions of Nigeria's money to the people who bought NEPA to be used by them to operate NEPA.

Buhari has intervened to rescue PHCN. Many of the Discos have been fired without pushing the country into deeper problems of contract breaches. The government has signed a deal with Siemens of Germany to implement the National Electricity Roadmap to ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply across the nation. It's a 6 years action plan and we are already midway.

Under the concession agreement on Ajaokuta, the Indian company was expected to build the Warri/Itakpe Railway to link the Complex with the Warri seaport; the Warri seaport was also expected to be rehabilitated and made functional, and lastly the steel complex itself. The Indians did none of the 3, rather, they capitalized on the madness of the Musa Yaradua administration to terminate the contract inappropriately to file a huge claim running into billions of dollars against this country.
Rather than being made to pay $5.2billion as damages to a nonperforming Indian company, we got a reprieve to pay off the Indians with $496 million.

Buhari has completed the Warri/Itakpe rail line linking the complex with the Warri seaport. Serious rehabilitation works are ongoing on the seaport itself. The delay in settling the disputes with the Indians slowed down the progress works on Ajaokuta.

Let me refresh our memories on the debts/claims made against Nigeria by another company that got court judgment in the UK at the inception of this administration under one PSI& (not sure I got the name correctly). Some criminal Nigerians under previous administrations had committed Nigeria to the pit of hell it took the grace of God and this administration to rescue Nigeria.
The agreement was allegedly signed by Adoke on behalf of Nigeria.

Buhari has been rescuing Nigeria from one problem to another. Nigeria had been sold out completely and it was only the carcass that was handed over to Buhari in 2015.

For a man who promised to build new refineries, how and where does anyone expect to get those resources from considering the enormity of the problems he met?

Southwest is being linked with the Northwest by rail. Work is ongoing on the Eastern corridor to link the SS, SE With the NE by rail. Major roads are being constructed and rehabilitated across the entire geo-political zones of the country.

Now, they are back asking to be allowed to continue the havoc from where they stopped. When Atiku and Obi were together in 2019, they promised to sell NNPC to their friends. They must be disappointed by now that Buhari is recovering what they had sold out in the past.

They would be coming back to come and resell these national Assets basically because they lacked the vision and capacity to turn them around into productive ventures.

Ajaokuta was established in 1979 and had remained moribund and abandoned for 43 years.

These people have split themselves into 2(two) to confuse Nigerians and you know them. Obi has been PDP and PDP was Obi since he left office as Anambra governor. They are the same. They sold out these national assets. Obi was a member of Jonathan's economic team that sold out PHCN to themselves and still gave them our money to run what was sold.

Only one favor I ask of you, Fellow Nigerians.
Do not give this country back to these people to complete their destruction of the entity.
Not only would my generation be unable to witness another rescue operation, even Nigeria as a country would not survive the onslaught.
