A religious sister got pregnant and the religious leaders decided to discipline her since she was not married.

When the elders met and interviewed her, she told them that she has stayed and remained single for several years and no one is marrying her and she is approaching the age of menopause where she can't get pregnant even if married.

So after reading some religious medical journals on this issues, she decided and did artificial insemination since she too wants a child. She tendered both the medical journals and the medical documents that showed that she has done the artificial insemination from a reputable hospital.

The Sister is pregnant without committing fornication nor adultery with any man.

Sin is not arbitrarily defined phenomenon. It is clearly indicated in what is God's Law to man, in our case, Jesus Christ. So, your question you can easily answer by reviewing the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ contained in the 4 Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And no man has authority to declare sin that which God Himself has not defined as sin.

What's your position?

She has sinned. She has perverted the course of the LORD and the accuser, satan, will use this against her. Did she get the consent of the sperm donor? If she didn't then it is robbery? If she did then she should have married the donor. God intended children to be produced by the mutual agreement of a husband and a wife but she has perverted the course of God's design. Nevertheless, the LORD God is merciful and kind and has granted her her request to have a child because...children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalms 127:3). What she did should be discouraged but she should not be banned from the church or from her activities within the church and neither should she be shamed for what she did.

People should just be allowed to live their lives the way they want it so long as one is not committing a crime!

People are allowed to do what they want to do. The Gospel was meant by Jesus Christ only for those who are weary and heavy-laden - Matthew 11 vs 28 - 30. Ignorance is behind the reason people chain themselves to it without first making sure they at least understand what it is they are getting into.

Jesus Christ no be by force. Make una no dey pretend otherwise.

First of all, the meaning of the word fornication generally used today that it means having sex before marriage is a distortion from reality and isn't scriptural, i am yet to know where they got that one from.

Here is the only scripture that defined the word fornication in the bible.

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

So, the bible states it clearly that fornication means one having his father's wife, not one having sex before marriage.
There is no other scripture that defines the word fornication as sex before marriage i don't know where they got it from.

I think that if you are not married and you are not having one sexual partner that will lead to marriage but you are jumping from one person to another it is still adultery

Coming to what the lady did, what she has done isn't wrong. She should just leave the church and face her life is it by force to be church member?
