The Ondo State Government has issued an order restricting nightclub activities in the 18 local government areas of the state as well as the operations of commercial motorcycle riders throughout the state.

The government also disclosed that there will be a crackdown on unregistered vehicles and vehicles without a tinting permit.

According to the order, motorcycle operations outside of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and nightclub activities after 12 a.m. will no longer be permitted in the state.

Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Commander of Amotekun Corps, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

Adeleye maintained that the order will be strictly enforced by security agents in the state.

“Law enforcement agencies are to resume enforcement on the Ban on Motorcycle Operations outside 6am-6pm, Night Club activities beyond 12 midnight, use of vehicles with tinted glasses without permit, unregistered vehicles, use of sticker number plates in lieu of car dealership approved stickers.

“Accordingly, all Security Agencies are hereby enjoined to impound all such motorcycles and vehicles while the owners or riders would be prosecuted.”

Rubbish.....people have invested in these clubs and you just wake up one day and ban it.
How about you get your security right. The state will only loose business to others states.

The way myopic administrators mess up businesses in this country is just painful to watch ..

Night life helps to keep the economy of cities running. Instead of putting security measures in check to protect folks at night, lazy administrators would rather stop everything without considering business owners.

That was how Obiano banned folks from building more than 4 floors in Onitsha, simply because a five storey building under construction collapsed!
