When I schooled in GH for like 5years naija songs didn't get into my playlist and I was entertained.
In fact it felt like I was really in a different time zone.

Gh is one country I enjoyed living just that the bad name and impressions some Nigerians create through fraud and criminality has made it uncomfortable for us.

Nigerian music lacks quality content.

I think what is working for Nigeria is that we sing in English, social media and our massive population.

For instance, when you have tens of thousands of Nigerians liking and sharing Wizkid song, social media platforms or other online forums will put it in the face of everyone. Those people won't have any other choice than to listen to it or watch it.

The only thing I like about our music is the use of rhymes - that is very commendable.

If this country finally splits, Nigerian music is likely to lose its relevance.

Dude we have good Nigerian musicians that have good lyrics but Nigerians will rather prefer pangolo songs....most Naija musicians once they sing good and meaningful songs and they realize that people don't listen they switch to the pangolo pattern of music so don't blame them,,,blame Nigerians.
