A snippet of Peter Obi’s interview on CNN where he said Nigeria’s problem can’t be solved overnight just hit the front page. And as usual, traducers has started their usual vitriol because of that sincere assertion of Peter Obi which is nothing but the truth and a clear departure from the usual attitude of everyday politician who lies his way to power by promising what they know they’d never do or achieve.

But you that is attacking Peter Obi for saying Nigeria’s problem can’t be solved overnight, tell me, which of Nigeria’s current problem can be solved overnight?

Is it the insecurity that has become hydra-headed and spread across every nook and cranny of the country?

Is it inflation that now stands at 20% that would be brought down to single digit overnight?

Is it epileptic power supply that had bedeviled Nigeria since 1960?

Is it the shambolic economy that will be revived overnight?

Is it our moribund refineries that would be revitalized overnight?

Is it the over 100million Nigerians living in poverty that would be pulled out of poverty overnight?

Is it the 35% of graduates that are unemployed that would all get jobs overnight?

Is it the 50% of Nigerians that are underemployed that would get a better job overnight?

Which of Nigeria’s problems can be solved overnight?

Obi was just being realistic. That due to the myriads of problems currently bedeviling Nigeria, anybody who will succeed Buhari would have to take practical and pragmatic steps towards solving them; an approach that cannot happen overnight.

Nigerians should be careful lest we become like girls who continually fall to lies after lies and never takes the guy who is sincere and genuine with them serious.

Nigerians must be weary of people who come with the usual political promises of how the country will become El dorado if we vote them; but once they win, they go there and become worst than the person they succeeded.

In a nutshell, Nigerians must be weary of liars and deceivers who promise heaven on earth but would never do it.

It’s time for us to start believing what is factual, what is practicable, what is measurable and what is achievable within a certain timeframe.

Away with the old, welcome the new.

Person that couldn't solve a small problem in Anambra wants to solve a big one in Asorock, the biggest joke ever.

The solution to Nigeria's problem is igbo's nightmare, so when looking for solution, Peter Obi is the last to come to mind.

When you have gangrene and the doctor decides on amputation. The problem is solved overnight, but the pain would still be felt even years after. If we can kill all our leaders our problems would be solved instantly. Though things would still be bad but only for a short while.

Coming from a tribal bigot that was against Ngozi Iweala.
Coming from someone that sees Trump as the best president USA has ever produced.

What? You are insane!

You had to go and bring all these, but for what exactly? Btw, I stand by them.
I'm against her because she's an overrated dupe.

Trump is the best president ever and more than half of America agree with that.

I sincerely like the approach Peter Obi used in making that narrative. He didn't start giving false illusory promises of how Nigeria will become Eldorado when he becomes president unlike those who promised so much but ended up shamelessly denying them.

This thread stinks of hypocrisy and double standard. It also justifies why reasonable Nigerians like us are against Peter Obi’s ambition. We saw through the lies, emptiness, planlessness, bigotry, and lack of understanding of how to solve the problems facing Nigeria.

That Peter Obi will not solve one shishi of Nigeria’s problems is not even the issue. The issue is that folks like the OP will pollute the social media space with excuses as to why he’s doing Nigeria a big favour by not solving any problems. They are already opening threads to defend failure even before the election. What will they not do after election?

Nigerians have a lot of choices before them. They have candidates with track records of providing sustainable solutions to identified problems. We afford to discard our best brains for third class brains out of sentiments. Peter Obi doesn’t have what is required to turn around the country. He just doesn’t have the brain for the office.

My honest assessment!

Define 'Overnight' you can't.

Your honest delusion at it's best.

Reasonable Nigeria supporting Tinubu? Chai!!

Same way 'reasonable' Nigerians supported Buhari for 8 years. See where we are today with their yeye reasonability.

Fashola: Once we vote out PDP, Nigeria will start enjoying stable electricity. 7 years + don waka, nothing don show.

APC: Is 216 naira to a dollar okay? 7 years +, e don pass 600 naira.

Fuel nko? APC is the headquarters of hypocrisy, clueless, ineptitude.

And what have the APC achieved after promising so much, have not only failed to deliver but shamelessly denied same? Always displaying your myopic views on national discuss because of tribal politics.

I'm of the opinion that no Nigerian politicians can ever solve the myriads of problems bedevilling this nation, but the experiment of 2015 have deepened this nation into more deeper shit courtesy of the SW and the North. Now, Buhari have messed it up, attention is being shifted to Atiku.

Lol

You forgot that Fashola once said that “any serious government will solve the problem of electricity in 6 months”.

The idiot was made Minister of Power for 4 years and Nigeria’s Electricity problem worsened. Since then he has never talked about power again.

So, this time around, we are not going to fall for such lies and lofty promises again.

Nigerians are wiser
