JosephXavier: So traffic in other part of the world are legislative issues? While u believe everybody is coming to lagos bcoz of the port, how many goods have u gone to clear in d port u or any member of ur family......so when ppl come to clear goods dey can't return to where dey came from again, containers r being shipped out on a daily to various locations across d country so I don't understand hw d port made everybody start coming to lagos, so it's only port that Nigerians r getting employed on? Meanwhile there's no sea in any of the 5 landlocked state of south east, I know u might say I think u r ibo but I know u r coz we know hw foolish u ppl reason What makes u think lagos is not well planned?..hw can d plan work with d over population and did dey tell u okada is part of a developmental plan Una no dey get sense 1 Like |

Great move by the government. These okada drivers must return to school to learn a marketable trade or go back to the village and form cooperative farming groups. Security is improving so they should try it. Sitting around and going to the beer parlour, smoking weed or doing hard drugs, and patronizing oloshos leads to a bleak future. |

They should be banned nationwide. They are a nuisance on the road. The moment I hate the most is when an approaching an intersection and turning right,my right trafficator is on, still one useless aboki who doesn't know sign would almost run into me. They should be banned nationwide forever and let other daily road users experience peace.. 1 Like |

This can’t happen in Lagos. Even in the said areas that they are banned. They still operate codedly. Na Lagos government go tire of crushing bikes. |

haryorbarmie83: Why crush them? Give them to security forces and the military to clear out the bush of bandits and miscreants. Or export them to other nearby nations that don't have an enormous crime and insecurity problems. |

Manny21: These okada rider are serial robbers and since their association can't fish out the bad eggs. Then they suffer the blame. Also, ladipo market will be closed cos it's too dirty. They have been warned buy them no send or listen. So I commend the government for it's action. We need to learn to take care of our environment even if no be our house. |

All Nigerians have villages and personal land. If a Nigerian is incapable of any longer surviving in Lagos they should return to thire village and work the land. If not, they should be able to find support in their villages. Those okada that are not Nigerians could return to thire countries of origin. Lagos state should reinforce its aim by arguing that the insecurity in Nigeria was also part of its consideration for legislating against these Okada. If there is broad and supportable/corroborative evidence that terrorists have exploited this mode of trade to spread insecurity throughout Nigeria then Lagos state or any state in Nigeria has strong incentive to ban Okada. |

Total ban on okada in Lagos state is a must and a welcome development, for the first time I was able to move freely in oshdi inner streets without fear of okada, the street is less noisy and orderly. After total ban on okada, the next should be keke Marwa, they are also another nuisance to our roads and streets. 2 Likes |

Banning is good but the state government should try to fix the inner roads so that keke and small bus can be running cus most of the street are not good for keke and small bus example is Irawo those place is hell cus of bad road some keke that manage to operate there always fall and spoil due to bad road. Irawo along ikorodu road needs government help cus the people there are suffering so badly they will be trekking for more than 1 hour due to bad road and no keke or bus cus of the bad road. |

Total okada ban is a must in Lagos, and even keke Marwa too should follow after total ban on okada, you cannot build an economy around okada and keke, apart from that, they are serious environmental pollution to our streets and road, a nuisance that should not have been there in the first place |

There is other work for anybody ridding okada, they should go and learn work, what I hate most is Okada, they should connect with there route if Lagos can't absorb them. Aboki should go back to gate man or shoe maker, Niger should go back and Benue people should go back to farm, no single indigen of Lagos is doing Okada work |
