This was some years back when #PeterObi donated One Hundred Million to the Nigerian Army. From his private pocket. Not as governor nor as president. But this you see it in the news? No. Because he likes quiet simple life, secretly impacting the nation positively. Which politician in Nigeria can do this?

#PeterObi has always lived a lived of philanthropy. He goes round Nigeria, donating to public institutions and charity organisations that benefit the general public directly. There's hardly any politician in Nigeria that makes donations more that #Peter Obi. Yet, he doesn't make noise about it. He visits universities, secondary schools, general hospitals, IDP Camps, security outfits such as the Police, Military, FRSC, etc round the country, donating his money and sometimes even skills to help them thrive and serve the general public better. Yet, you won't see him broadcasting it.

Even as governor in Anambra State, he did not higher the media to do showoff and media propaganda for him. Even when he was winning awards and getting recognitions from international bodies and development partners for the sudden unprecedented developments in Anambra, he didn't make noise with those achievements.

If not for Ben Murray Bruce who used the achievements and superb developments of Anambra (when Obi was governor) for his #CommonSense video series he (Ben Murray Bruce) was doing then to advise the Federal Government, most of us probably wouldn't have known of those achievements. It via Ben Murray Bruce's v#iJustWantToMakeCommonSense videos that Nigerians got to know that under Peter Obi, Anambra starting exporting vegetables worth over 5 Million Dollars to Europe. It was first of its kind, even though Anambra was one of the most disadvantaged states in Nigeria in terms of arable farmland, due to her perennial flooding and gully erosion menace that bedeviled the state.

If not for people like Murray Bruce and WAEC, we probably would not have known the historic intervention that Obi was making in education. It was when Anambra public schools started winning international tech innovations competitions, coming out tops in WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations, that People like Bruce and the rest of Nigeria began to go verify what magic Obi was doing in Anambra. It got to a point Ben Murray Bruce advised the federal government and all other states in Nigeria to copy exactly what Peter Obi was doing in Anambra.

Under Peter Obi, Anambra moved from being one of the most indebted state and became the least indebted state in Nigeria according to the World Bank � and other development partners. Anambra at a point was the only DEBT FREE state in Nigeria.

It didn't end there. While other states were dependent on monthly allocations, Anambra became a SELF-RELIANT and SELF SUFFICIENT state. And this recognitions were made even by independent, local and international bodies and development partners.

We can't exhaust the sterling qualities of #PeterObi in one piece of writing or in a day. But just know that #PO is not a stingy man. He gives but he does not give bribe. He donates his money a lot but he does not donate into private pockets or projects he doesn't believe in to be genuine and having direct positive impact on the general public. He donates to projects and causes that are genuine, verifiable, measurable and directly positively impactful to the community and society at large.

In addition to this, Obi also gives to help individuals that genuinely need help. If he sees that you're genuinely in need of support to get through a particular difficult or vulnerable moment of your life, education or career, he helps unconditionally. We've seen a lot of people, disadvantaged individuals he rescued in the past, now speaking up to testify of how he funded their medical bills, scholarships, overseas educational needs, etc.

In any case, OBI NO DEY GIVE SHISHI when the purpose is illegally, fraudulent, insincere or for private pockets instead of for public good or a worthy cause.
