Please, let us not postulate on something we have no control over the outcome. I think what would be a good debate, would be what, your chosen person, the one you re rooting for, would do when he wins. No one can effectively say, in this platform, even those one is rooting for, how, in concrete steps, they are going to improve the realities of the Nigerian masses. One thing I know is, whoever wins, will travel/go abroad, cap in hand to beg (as usual) the other so called "world leaders" to recognize them which, based on past heads of state's tenures, only plunges the nation into more poverty and problems. All 3 leading persons have nothing to offer. #IfYouThinkOtherwiseYouHaveBeenConned |

She is making predictions based on emotions. That's all. It will shock you to note that a lot of factors will hinder Obi in his so called stronghold of the SE. 1. No known political stakeholder or leader supports him. And these people have their hardcore followers. 2. The IPOB question. Peter Obi will not win any state in the SE. The South-South, hahaha I am laughing when she thinks Obi will win here, how? Maybe Edo state, otherwise forget. Then maybe PDP dont resolve their crises and Wike joins Obi, otherwise he will loose here big time. People don't make realistic analysis before they come out to talk. In the entire North, just forget it. Dont follow the enlightened few who are online supporting Obi, you see those voters with small radio, no one can change their minds there, they will only vote for a Northerner like Atiku and Kwankwaso. They don't even know who Peter Obi is. For the South West, well I trust Yoruba people, they will not say it, but a Yoruba can never see a yoruba man on the ballot and vote an Igbo man. It can never happen save for a few young ones. Fact is Peter Obi cannot win this election. |

Aisha Yusuf thank you for analysing the truth especially the part you said that Igbos don't vote base on ethnicity.Urchins know that Igbos vote on competency that is why Igbos voted Obasanjo,Yaradua, etc overwhelmely despite that Igbos contested in all those elections. If someone like Devil Umahi,Orji Uzor Kalu,Rochas Okoroawusa or Hopeless Uzodimma came out to contest presidential election believe me Igbos will cast their votes to another tribe. When you talk about those that play tribal and religious politics it is always Yorubas and Housas/Fulanis ...............I am that Igbojew the table shaker 1 Like 1 Share |

Kingozymandias: This analysis is very presumptuous. First of all, this is d first time in our history when a huge number of our electorates are fixated on a candidate not a party, hence there is no data to support this claim. I'm more afraid about these election postulations because they have the potency of unrest should they not match the actual election results. More importantly, based on data, the SS and SE predominantly are PDP strong holds, they control the structure and resources in such areas, it's not going to be a walk in the park wrestling the PDP hold in these states. If you postulate that Labor party will split the votes, that is comprehendible but an outright win will require a lot of hardwork. Based on previous elections, the turnout in the South East is very poor, a cumulation of 3 states in the South East can't match the voting power of rivers not to talk of Lagos and Kano. This election will be decided in the north, the north has experienced a reduced occurrence of unrest especially in the NE, it might translate into an improved election turnout. By the way this election is going to be the most financially induce one in our history. The race is still too close to call. |

gabicon: Even your own submission is more muddled than hers. In your first paragraph, you claimed that a "huge number electorates are fixated on a candidate not a party" and ended up saying that there's "no data" to buttress her assumptions. How did you get your own data to come up with the "huge number" in reference? Then you went on to submit that some zones in the south are controlled by a party, and concluded that it would be difficult for another party to wrestle control. How do you people reconcile these seemingly distorted views in public space? 2 Likes |
