Real men and women who believed in the peaceful and non-confrontational campaign style in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency and by extension Okun land, at the moment know that when the chips are down, and the mudslinging becomes present, we may miss out of the needed campaign blueprints of our candidates. But, since the first stone has been thrown and, the intellectual sagacity of our candidate Chief Olaiya Michael Olobatoke (OMO) is been dragged by little nitwits who will do it because of crumbs fell from their double left leg master, then, it's game on!

Let us begin with a story, at least, this should drive home the point a little. In the olden days, in the animal kingdom, there lived a huge king of the forest who happened to be the Lion. He was feared and revered, he ruled with panache, empathy, and gait. He handled issues with strong hands and he pardoned less critical issues. One day, the Lion, King of the jungle fell sick and was dying, and the whole village was in huge tumult. They wouldn't want their king to die yet, he needed to live longer and right some wrongs.

So they consulted the Oracle, they needed a solution, after three days, the Oracle spoke and what was it this time, the Oracle mandated they get an Elephant's head for a sacrifice. What! That mountainous animal? The biggest in the forest? What else would they do now? After long and wide consultations, one of the little animals in the forest who's name is Mr. Tortoise came up with the solution and what will it be; deceit! That will be the game.

So an entourage was sent to the Elephant announcing the death of the Lion and begging him to come and reign, he accepted the invite without consideration, he will be the King at last. He had coverted the seat of a King so much, just like their paymaster Architect Idris Salman who is desperate and will stop at nothing but the prestigious seat of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu House of Reps even after he was flawed at the primaries by a candidate who is old enough to be his son.

So the day of coronation drew near, the plans were rife, and, the plan to get the head of the Elephant was in top gear. A huge hole had been dug, a golden chair was already built and placed on the huge hole and it was well decorated to crown the not to be King. They brought out drums and trumpets in welcoming the new not to be King. The Elephant danced and was well welcomed, the shout of joy rendered the air, the song "ao merinjoba eweku ewele" was sung, the Elephant ( just like our dear Salman) was deceived, he fell for it and danced to the packaged throne. Thinking he was loved and well accepted, he sat heavily on the throne, with all his weight, he sat down, and with all his weight he collapsed and sunk, he sunk into the hole embarrassingly. The plan had worked, every one of the animals started hitting him with the fiercest of weapons, the target had been deceived and he had fallen for it. The Elephant lost his head and also lost the throne, he was hunted down by his long-time inordinate ambition. The sacrifice was made and the King became well, the town lived happily ever after.

The decerning and wise would understand this story, we all heard it growing up.

We have read with so much surprise the way some set of good-for-nothing and nauseating supporters of the ADC Candidate, Architect Idris Salman wrote about Chief Olaiya Michael Olobatoke's TVC interview of today. Those who are aware of how the media works could read between the lines and know that as good as the interview would have come out, the erratic network marred the flow.

For the records, all through the program, the technical department of TVC was trying to troubleshoot and make the network steady as much as they can. Because of the poor network issues, the talk-back device malfunctioned which created hollow and echo throughout the interview. An apology has been made and a new date has been rescheduled.

One will now wonder why the camp of the candidate who had not known his real fate yet because he had treaded on a huge constitutional issue would go into needles and continuous ejaculations as if an election had been won and lost. As at the last time we checked, our candidate flogged their candidate at the primaries when he was still a member of PDP, the best party in Nigeria. As of our last check, their candidate has never won any election in any political party in Nigeria but our candidate has won one and he is sure to take home victory, come the general election.

As of our last check, because of the pang of defeat at the last primaries, the former aspirant of the PDP and now ADC candidate has now been reduced to attending any occasion and event in our constituency even if uninvited. Jokingly, an elder statesman told us that two hours is too much for the gangling Architect to drive to Kabba from Abuja at the slightest invitation to a program.

Maybe they have forgotten that the video of how he was booed after he rigged the ADC primary election is everywhere, maybe they forgot how he went crawling on his kneels begging the kings and bigwigs to force the Ijumu-Arin ADC aspirant to step down for him before the primaries.

It is our wish to keep this campaign as neat and issues based as possible but if it will turn into a tantrum, mudslinging campaign, once again, please, bring it on!

We saw how much of voodoo was on display by their marabouts during the recently concluded primaries of PDP, but, at the end of the day, it ended in a woeful failure.

We challenge them to a debate at any medium of their choice, we are sure of the intelligent mobility and uprightness of our candidate, our blueprint is simple, and togetherness is what we preach. If they rejoice over an interview marred by the network, we challenge them to present the interview of Architect Idris Salman in any top-rated media organization.
