There is gas all over Nigeria so just forget that FG will make such huge investments first on dredging just to collect and sell gas. If it were so, it would even have been done before Bonny and NLNG trains in Rivers state located in Bonny at the mouth of the atlantic ocean.

Dredging of a river is not the problem where would d water come from?

Sometimes they dredge a river to reduce flooding, dredging a river won’t change the quantity of water that flows through it, it only makes the river deeper.

Suez Canal isn’t the same asin Suez Canal 2 seas were connected to each other. I repeat 2 seas, same thing happened at Panama Canal where 2 oceans were connected to each other.

People went to see it. Infact the person who initiated the idea became a hero and saviour.

Hmm, that's a deep and funny story at the same time. It's up to the people of the south east to realise there are geographical limitations in their region and look beyond things that do not work for their region. Instead of asking for a seaport, ask for industries and rail, ask for funding for SMEs and let them repair federal roads.

Most of the crisis going on in imo state is directly or indirectly linked to the gas reserves in imo state. Federal government has noticed that the oil and gas export from imo state don't reach the bonny terminal again. They decided to be exporting it directly from the seaport.
