Fasten your seatbelts for some spray-and-pray full-auto gunplay on display in Texas where marauding hordes of wild pigs and saber-tooth feral hogs stand accused of destroying millions of dollars worth of prime Texas agricultural land, and are therefore sentenced to death by shooting according to Texas law. The real action starts at the two-minute mark of this video when ATV-mounted gentlemen wielding AR15 rifles with night vision and laser sights speed across the Texas landscape at night using spotlights and automatic gunfire to address the pig problem with full authority. If you love the smell of cordite in the morning, and the sight of muzzle flashes by night, then this is the video clip for you, fellow pistoleros. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAu9Qfhocxo 1 Like 1 Share |

The use of silencers on the rifles and belt-fed machineguns deployed for this nighttime pig hunt enables the shooters to open fire without needing to wear cumbersome noise-canceling headphones for their ear protection. The thunderous boom of gunfire is muted down to a much quieter crack similar to the subdued report of a teenager's pellet gun. 1 Like |

EKONGKING: Olodo, they those hogs are invasive animals and the state government is incentiving people to kill them, same as some rats in Florida too, even the African giant snails that’s invading Florida 1 Like |

EKONGKING: You guys are actually making the same point, namely that the invasive pigs need to be killed. Obviously one of you misunderstood the opinion expressed by the other, so there is no option but for the two of you to settle this matter in the boxing ring. Please kindly meet me under the Oshodi Bridge in Lagos, where I will hand out a pair of boxing gloves to each of the combatants so that I can then preside over a fair boxing match that will determine who won this non-argument in concrete terms. 1 Like 1 Share |

Danny50: All those dead pigs should be packaged for the freezer so as to prepare them for export to Obodo Nigeria, with love from Texas. 2 Likes |

@Jakumo, these pigs are later picked up and eaten, right? Otherwise the waste would be criminal. I sure would love to participate in something like this and would use an automatic grenade launcher so I can take out multiple critters per trigger pull. 1 Like |

GabrielYulaw: In most cases, the pigs are left to rot in the sun and thus become organic farm manure. Sometimes younger pigs are selected for eating, but because of the massive numbers that are killed regularly, the tonnage of pork left in place to rot always exceeds the number of carcasses recovered for eating. That said, an organized recovery of dead pigs after every hunt could under ideal circumstances be processed into food for the homeless, but such an endeavor could prove to be too costly and labor-intensive to sustain. Hey, I like the idea of administering volleys of grenades on the fleeing beasts haha. Now, this is a cathartic exercise that would enable people like me to unleash all their pent-up aggression in a safe and controlled environment. It is possible to visit Texas and pay for the privilege of going after the pigs from the front seat of a Robinson R22 or R44 helicopter, whereby the pilot positions the helicopter for the shots in rapid succession. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4rvh8B8dQg It is official, y'all. Texas has declared full-scale war on them wild pigs. "War on the ground, war in the air, war up north, war down south" as Bob Marley might say. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTkdAaWWHME The technology of gun silencers has evolved considerably over the last ten years, and now these devices are in widespread use by hunters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaEi6-Gxp1o 1 Like |

whirlwind7: Most of the dead pigs become organic fertilizer for the farmer. They are left to decay where they fall. That is the pigs' way of paying back their debt to society, after destroying millions of dollars worth of farmland with their bulldozer-like foraging activities. Processing dead pigs into catfish feed would be a much better alternative to just allowing all that meat to go to waste under the Texas sun. |

Trust me. There is a subconscious undertone to this. They might be preparing ( training) for their next civil war. 1 Like |

caye: Without question, mastering the art of shooting at fast-running targets from a helicopter with a silenced rifle is the sort of skill that was previously available only to the military. Now a whole generation of civilians is perfecting the technique of delivering instant death from above, thanks to the relaxation of pig hunting laws in Texas and other states, which does of course leave open the possibility that a helicopter pilot, working with a shooter who practiced the essential teamwork on pigs, COULD go rogue and start picking off people some day, if the mood took them. Compared to wild pigs, people are slower runners, and would therefore be much easier to hit by a helicopter gunman. Caye, I will honestly say that the possibility you have brought up here never crossed my mind once. 1 Like |
