Unconfirmed reports and rumours making the rounds both on social media and other hush-hush platforms indicated that APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu collapsed over the weekend and had to be rushed to his London doctors.
The report indicated that the inclusion of Shettima on the entourage was to disguise the fact that the APC presidential candidate is critically ill. The source said, "there is no meeting with Wike and team as being speculated". Telephone Inquiries to the SWAGA campaign office in Lagos was not answered as the line rang out twice.

Another source indicated that it is strange that the usual fanfare that is always associated with Tinubu's travel was lacking this time as he was strethered out of Nigeria. In the past, the media would have been awash with photos of his departure, even though those trips are for medical attentiom.

The unconfirmed report said that several planned events like the flag off APC campaign, inauguration of the PCC and other related events were put off because of this catastrophic development.

One source queried, is this what Nigeria wants to put up again? It would be recalled that Nigeria was burdened with this same issue in 1995, when Abacha was said to be ill and that affected state function. He later died in August that year. Another indtance was that of Umaru Musa Yardua. Then the PDP candidate for presidentail elections. Yardua was rushed out of Nigeria just like Tinubu.
