The serene communities of Udung Uko local government area will be ignited on Tuesday as Governor Udom Emmanuel looks set to lead several dignitaries for the inauguration of the first ever road project constructed in the coastal area since the State’s creation in 1987.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State is expected as Special Guest at the occasion.

The road comprises a 9km Eyotai- Ulliong - Eyobasi main alignment and a 3km spur into Edikor.

Udung Uko local government Secretariat, the Palace of the Paramount Ruler of the area and several prominent communities are linked by the new road.

The road project is a deliberate policy of the Governor Emmanuel led administration to open up rural communities and arrest rural-urban migration in line with his second term Completion Agenda.

The commissioning ceremony takes place by 11am.
