O God Of Creation.
Direct Our Noble Cause.
Guide Our Leaders Right.
Help Our Youth “The Truth” To Know.
In Love And Honesty To Grow.
And Live In Just And Truth.
Great Lofty Heights Attain.
To Build A Nation Where Peace And Justice Shall Reign.

When Translated To Normal English, It Becomes

Direct Our Noble Cause. - (Praying for all Nigerians)
Guide Our Leaders Right. - (Praying for The Leaders)

I prefer this second one. It's sound and meaningful. Should be the preferred anthem.

Tribe is colonial construct to strip Africans of their identities. We are Nations not tribes.
Nigeria will never be great because their are many nations trapped inside Nigeria.

It will continue to remind us that we are divided with tribes and tongues...,, But that we are forcing unity on ourselves.
..
Even though that's the reality,, we shouldn't make it one of our national icons, because it sends some negative signals across.
