Our Leaders Where Fooled To Celebrate Independence Rather Than Existence by tbqafrica: 7:36pm On Oct 01, 2022
Our Existence binds us as a Nation and not Independent so Our Leaders where fooled to celebrate independence rather than the People's Existence.
The history of Nigeria can be traced to settlers trading across the middle East and Africa as early as 1100 BC.

Numerous ancient African civilizations settled in the region that is known today as Nigeria,
such as the Kingdom of Nri, the Benin Empire, the Oyo Empire, the Bornu Empire  which gave birth to the  Hausa during the 11th century.
We lived in Unity, strength and harmony with great cultural values.

European slave traders arrived and enslaved Africans as part of the Atlantic slave trade, which started the region of modern-day Nigeria.

Badagry - Lagos was occupied by British forces in 1851 and formally annexed by Britain in the year 1865.
Nigeria became a British protectorate in 1901. The period of British rule lasted until 1960, when an independence movement by Anthony Enanoho of blessed memories (who was never celebrated or remembered by the country Nigeria) led to the country being granted independence.
But mind you, we existed long before this time and freedom from the colonial the masters slavery.
Its a pity that we don't celebrate ourselves and existence but we celebrate freedom Oyibo which we value more that ourselves.

Lets celebrate our Existence more than Independent then our value will rise above what the white expect and want us to be.
Our Existence binds us not Independent.

We became a republic in 1963, but succumbed to military rule three years later, after a bloody coup d'état.

Nigeria became a republic again after a new constitution was written in 1979. However, the republic was short-lived, as the military seized power again in 1983 and later ruled for ten years. A new republic was planned to be established in 1993, but was aborted by General Sani Abacha. Abacha died in 1998 and a fourth republic was later established by the likes of Shehu Yaradua who brought in great Nigerians like His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to work with him while he was working as a custom officer.
The following year, which ended three decades of intermittent military rule

Abacha died of heart failure on 8 June 1998 and was replaced by General Abdulsalami Abubakar. The military Provisional Ruling Council (PRC) under Abubakar commuted the sentences of those accused in the alleged coup during the Abacha regime and released almost all known civilian political detainees.
In August 1998 Abubakar appointed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct elections for local government councils, state legislatures and governors, the National assembly, and president. The NEC successfully held elections on 5 December 1998, 9 January 1999, 20 February, and 27 February 1999, respectively. For local elections, nine parties were granted provisional registration with three fulfilling the requirements to contest the following elections. These parties were the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the All People's Party (APP), and the predominantly Yoruba Alliance for Democracy (AD). For unism of 1NATION.
The former military head of state Olusegun Obasanjo, freed from prison by Abubakar, was asked to run as a civilian candidate and won the presidential election while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was the Vice president in that New Nigeria Era.

Most civil society leaders and Nigerians witnessed marked improvements in human rights and freedom of the press under Obasanjo.
The Vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar led the Economic team and brought great people into government which lasted for 8 years. In 2007 power shift happened inside the pdp led government which generally brought in the Election of Umaru Yar'Adua and Goodluck Jonathan, both of the People's Democratic Party, were elected president and Vice President, respectively.

Yar'Adua's presidency was fraught with uncertainty as media reports said he suffered from kidney and heart disease. In November 2009, he fell ill and was flown out of the country to Saudi Arabia for medical attention. He remained incommunicado for 50 days, by which time rumours were rife that he had died.

Goodluck Jonathan took over and began serving as acting president in the absence of his boss, he later contested and serve on term which lasted till 2015.

2015 General Muhammadu Buhari took over the helm of affairs in May 2015 after
the Jonathan led administration through and Elections,
This this Era Nigeria has been faced with Economy downtime and Nigerians has been hoping for a better country.
The youth actively want a better today and a better tomorrow which has given birth to a great National political institution ATIKULATE NIGERIA NETWORK within the PDP and other political groups in Nigeria.
The Network is spread across the Entire country with at least a minimum of 1000 members per ward,
The mandate has been set by the Director General / Convener EICHIE EHIAGWINA MICHEAL MAYOR (MAZI-MAYOR) who hails from the Country home of the late Anthony Anehni a former Bot Member of the Pdp Ward 3, Arue in Esan North East local government area of Edo state gave birth to a new well structured and a growing Network that's is preparing to take over the political Structure by having Visionary leaders in strategically placed positions.

Were there will will be total inclusion of Every ward in Governance there by Empowering the people and Changing the narratives.

Despite the fact that Nigeria as a Nation don't celebrate its Existence as a people, we celebrate independent which is not ideal for the most populous black Nation of the world.
Country like China Celebrate Existence and I see no reason why we choose to celebrate few years of Independent.

In going back to down memory lane
The land area known today as Nigeria was formed in 1914 when colonial authorities merged the Northern and Southern Protectorates of Nigeria, to form the amalgamated Protectorate and Colony of Nigeria.
As a Name Nigeria we are about 108 years but as a people a people we have existed for over 1000 years.

Never the less
The Entire Management of ATIKULATE NIGERIA NETWORK which is giving birth to a new Nigeria Structure want to in the mood of celebration joins all Nigerians to say Happy Independent in the usual old way.

Happy existence to us all as a Nation.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
God bless you all.
