What did you expect?

The Catholic Church is a church that doesn't promote spirituality, but merely propagates the Gospel through teachings.

Father Mbaka is a departure from the norm, which has helped keep tens of thousands in the church. Those who would have switched to Pentecostalism.

The Catholic Church in Nigeria needs Father Mbaka for his massive support and humanitarian works. All these punishments are just calculated efforts to deter him from getting too political in his messages - something the church doesn't encourage.

Why do Catholics like violence like their northern muslim counterparts. Why would adoration worshippers attack an interim director, while operating like brainwashed thugs. The same way catholic diocese of Mbaise violently rejected a bishop simply because he's not from Mbaise

By the way, I really hate it when Catholics become too attached to a particular priest, making and seeing him as God. Taking their opinion as infallible. I've experienced this many times in my parish here in Lagos. Some even follow the priests to their new parish when they're transferred. It's quite annoying
