APC Rally: Armed Robbers Not Auxiliary — Oyo Police Debunk Attack Rumour by Shegman22(m): 7:41am On Oct 06, 2022
Oyo State chapter of Nigeria Police Force has debunked an attack which APC alleged to be orchestrated by Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila known as as Auxiliary, but affirmed to be masterminded ny armed robbery.

SP, Adewale Osifesso, Police Public Relations Officer disclosed this in a release issued on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command and made available to naijatodaynew.co.

According to the statement, “the Oyo State Police Command under the firm and constructive leadership of CP Adebowale Williams psc(+)fdc and as a precursor towards the electioneering campaigns has held series of meetings with relevant Political stakeholders in Oyo State to include but not limited to the Interparty Advisory Council and the independent National Electoral Commission to underscore the importance of a Peaceful 2023 General Election Build-up.

• Also, Political parties were advised through purposeful intelligence to devise and provide the Command with detailed route courses for each campaign train to prevent party supporters from running into each other in episodes that could amount to needless attacks fueled by various sentimental involvements with diverse party ideologies.

• In furtherance of the above, and guided by relevant laws and Statutes including the 2022 Electoral Act and the Force Orders and Administrative instructions No.248, that clearly indicates the Oyo State Police Command from the professional standpoint is not oblivious of its non-partisanship in politics, hence its conspicuous adoption of complete neutrality to the Process.

• Premised on News making the rounds about a coordinated attack on a party supporter of the All Progressive Congress, during their procession from the State Party Secretariat on 04/10/2022 to some parts of the metropolis, the Oyo State Command wishes to refute the claims and give a detailed account of the incident in the proper perspective.

• The Oyo State Police Command comprehensively provided adequate security for the (1) one -day event in concert with relevant Sister Agencies.

• The Campaign train was adequately protected by layers of operational and tactical Command assets aided by intelligence driven surveillance and Patrol teams flagging the procession from the front and rear.

• However, an isolated case of Armed-robbery was reported at the Idi-Aro Divisional Police Headquarters, Ibadan South-East LGA, where an unsuspecting party supporter was dispossessed of his Black TVS Motorcycle and was shot by hoodlums adorning same campaign T-shirts outside the rally axis.

• Preliminary investigations reveal that the Unsuspecting party victim, One Chukwuemeka Okoh ‘m’ 22 years was approached by (2) unknown adult males to assist them in catching up with the advancing campaign train, a gesture which he obliged because they were adorned in similar T-shirts.

• He was later instructed to veer into “shortcut” (what later became a secluded pathway) in a bid to overtake the body of the campaign train and join the major players ahead.

• In furtherance of the above, the victim, Chukwuemeka Okoh ‘m’ was in no distant time halted with a locally made shotgun pointed at him as the assailants demanded briskly for the keys to his Motorcycle after which he was shot and left to fate. Thankfully he was rescued and a report eventually filled.

• The victim is alive and well.

• While the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP Adebowale Williams psc(+) fdc has ordered immediate investigations into the incident, the CP also warns members of the Public against unnecessarily heating up the Polity with inciting utterances and provocative gestures.

• So also, Parents, Guardians and leaders wielding various degrees of influence are enjoined by the CP to prevail on their wards and proteges against been used as Cannon-fodders in disrupting the relative peace enjoyed in the State.

. In cases of emergency, the Command can always be reached through these emergency control room numbers: 615 (toll free) (OYO STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND), and Oyo State Police Command emergency lines 07055495413 and 08081768614. The NPF rescue me app is also available for free download on both Android and Apple IOS, for Android and I phone users respectively.

In the 2003 presidential election in which Ojukwu, the famed Igbo leader, vied, the south-east voted tremendously for his rival – Olusegun Obasanjo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In fact, Ojukwu’s ‘’Igbo party’’, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) could not even win governorship elections in the south-east except in Anambra — the late politician’s native home.

In Anambra, Obasanjo had 466,866 votes which represent 54 percent of the entire count while Ojukwu had 279,378 – 34 percent of the total tally. In Abia, Obasanjo had 386,748 votes (51.7 percent) while Ojukwu had 260,899 votes (34.9 percent). In Ebonyi, Obasanjo had 752,823 votes (94.5 percent) but Ojukwu polled only 20,525 votes (02.6 percent) within the same range as Muhammadu Buhari who had 16,308 votes in the state.

In Enugu, Obasanjo had 897,721 votes (79.7 percent) while Ojukwu had 177,050 votes (15.7 percent). And in Imo, Obasanjo polled 656,861 votes (64.6 percent), but Ojukwu had 281,114 votes (27.7 percent). The late Igbo leader’s second attempt in 2007 was also unsuccessful.

Obasanjo trounced Ojukwu on his own turf. Why? The election was not so much about Ojukwu, but about the centring of the south-east. The Igbo elite consorted with the PDP which at the time had a national appeal, and they were able to pivot the south-east in the nucleus of national politics...

Later they will tell you that igbos are tribalistic even when they have been supporting others against their own son.

My fellow Yoruba brothers and sisters,

Don’t be deceived into fighting someone’s personal battles disguised as an ethnic battle.

They didn’t consider you a good enough Omo Yoruba, when they were doling juicy positions to their family and friends.

We are only good enough to help them fight their personal battles.

Being an Omoluabi doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use our heads (brains).

Before you vote in the next general election, consider these:

*Remi Tinubu (Wife):* Bola Tinubu made her a 3-term senator who represented Lagos Central at the Nigerian Senate.

*Mrs Lola Akande (Sister-in-law):* She is Tinubu's wife’s sister. He made her the incumbent Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives. She is also a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

*Hon. Sunkanmi (Nephew):* the member of Lagos state House of Assembly representing Ikeja. He actually succeeded Mrs. Lola Akande.

*Sade Tinubu-Ojo (Daughter):* She is the Iyaloja General of Lagos. Note, the Iya Oloja controls all monies and levies generated in all Lagos markets. Sade replaced Tinubu’s adopted mother as the Iyaloja. Technically, he made the position an hereditary/family position.

*Oyetunde Ojo (Son-in-law):* Tinubu made him a member of the House of Representatives member in Ekiti State. He was sacked for using fake academic credentials in contesting. Ojo, an ex-parking attendant in London, is the husband of the Iya loja General of Lagos.

*Seyi Tinubu (Son):* He was appointed as the emergency financial consultant to all parastatals and local governments in Lagos State. Seyi is also in charge of the Lagos advertising account. This makes him in charge of the billions of naira generated from all billboard adverts in Lagos. His convoy is said to rival that of a state Governor,

*Fola Tinubu (nephew):* He is the Managing Director of Primero Transport Services Limited, a company owned by Tinubu. The company has the sole rights to operate BRT service in Lagos.

*Akeem Muri-Okunola (His friend’s son/and his former PA):* He was recently was imposed as the Head of Lagos Civil Service against all civil service rules.

*Akinola Benson (Personal Assistant):* He is the incumbent Commissioner for Establishment.

*Jide Idris (His Cousin):* The three-term Commissioner and the incumbent Commissioner for Health is Tinubu's Cousin.

*Bolaji Ariyo (former ADC):* The incumbent chairman of the Oshodi Local Government was also Tinubu's ADC.

*Gbolahan Lawal (ADC):* The incumbent Commissioner for Housing (a two-term Commissioner) was ADC to Bola Tinubu.

*Dr. Sikiru Tinubu (Cousin):* He is the MD of the Critical Care unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja. The facility was built and equipped with state funds. It is now owned personally by Bola Tinubu. Dr. Sikiru Tinubu runs the outfit. It is run as a private unit and the proceeds are pocketed by the duo. The unit charges its users exorbitantly and most Lagosians can hardly afford to pay its high charges. Most of the revenue is derived from fees paid by the State Government for patients referred there by its General Hospitals.

*Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola (Cousin):* Bola Tinubu installed his cousin Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola as the governor of Osun State.
