Peter Obi Was Building On My Foundation Although He Disagreed With Me On Infrastructure – Chris Ngige.

Yesterday, the former Governor of Anambra State and Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, appeared on Channels Tv Politics Today with Seun Okinbaloye.

The highlights of the program for me were the discourse of Dr. Chris Ngige on Peter Obi and not being able to sustain his legacy and roadmap for the development of Anambra. In fact, Ngige laid it bar that Mr. Peter Obi disagreed with him on infrastructure as he went further to analyze Peter’s administration in Anambra State as a disaster.

For those who know him, Dr. Ngige remains a solid character whom you can’t bully nor box to the corner.

When people talk about the administration of Peter Obi in Anambra state as the man who set the ball rolling for the development of the state, I laugh at their gullibility, poor sense of history or liken such to an attempt to deliberately be mischievous.

The father of modern day Anambra State was Dr. Chris Ngige, who fought the godfatherism that held Anambra State seat hands down and made it possible for a name like Peter Obi to sail.

According to Dr. Chris Ngige, his achievements are visible enough in the state, but those of Peter Obi are now nowhere to be found. It was Ngige who actually ended the long strikes in Anambra state secondary schools and began the return of schools to missionaries, with his administration giving subventions for the running of the schools. Dr. Chris Ngige cleared the backlog of salaries, pensions, and gratuities to a much larger percentage and constructed durable roads.

He drew the blue print for the Anambra development, which Peter Obi abandoned. If the story of Anambra is complied today, Dr. Ngige’s place in the history of the state will be too tall a mountain for Obi to climb.
Most of the projects which Peter Obi lays claim to today were foundations laid by Chris Ngige and pursued 50% before the Appeal Court sacked him in 2006 to impose Peter Obi as Governor. The Upper-Iweka flyover, designed by Chris Ngige, was the only notable project completed by Obi.

I was happy to watch Chris lay it bar himself before Seun, for the sake of those who lacked history.

I have equally read with dismay how the Obidents, with their usual hallucinations, that Dr. Ngige's not endorsing the Presidential Candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, means he is OBIdient as well. That would be too tall a dream for the incorrigible Peter Obi supporters.

Dr. Chris Ngige owes allegiance to Atiku Abubakar and will eventually support and vote for Atiku Abubakar in the February elections.

There wouldn’t have been a Ngige today without the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, who moved in to save Ngige from the hands of the Uba brothers of Uga when he was abducted in office due to his refusal to kowtow before them as godfathers.

Chris Ngige’s refusal to endorse the Tinubu tainted ambition is proof that the former still has a sense of discernment and integrity and must eventually reward Atiku Abubakar with his support and vote.

Dr. Chinweoke Mbadinuju, Dr. Chris Ngige, Lady, Dr. Virgy Etiaba, and Dr. Willie Obiano are the only Governors whose names would always ring when Anambra State's infrastructure development is mentioned. Peter does not have a seat next to these names.

Already, it's been established that Obi was by far, a better governor of Anambra state than Tinubu and Fashola were governors of Lagos state.

It will be nice to also compare the performances of Virgy Etiaba, Ngige, Obiano and Mbadinuju against the performances of Tinubu and Fashola.
I suspect that most of the aforementioned Anambra governors will beat Tinubu and Fashola

The write up reads that ngige ended the long strike, before obi took office, so how come tinubu people are saying ASUU went on strike under peter Obi, I don't get it

How did he deflate it when he also clearly admitted that he didn't do infrastructure until the second term? Someone focused on and improved other sectors in his first term and den turned to infrastructure. What has Ngige got to show for his years as a Minister?? Infact it should be an indictment on the APC that Ngige refused to endorse his party's candidate and admitted to being boxed to a corner. He also admitted on National Television that the APC could only win the election if it resolves it's problems meaning there are problems that could cost the party while U all try to paint all clear path to victory
