Faith, in the context of God's Law and agreement/Contract, means the living of one's life in continuous subscription/submission to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, the terms and conditions of the agreement you enter into with God.

To answer your question, you claim to believe in God means absolutely if you do not live by the terms of the agreement that you make with God by your claim. And God has no obligations towards you if you do not obey the terms of the agreement you make with Him. His Love in Jesus Christ belongs only to those who obey His agreement/teachings and commandments - John 15 vs 9 - 11 and His promise is also only to those who obey Him and live by faith as a result - John 14 vs 15 - 20.
