HEADLINE: 3 MILLION NAIRA WORTH MACBOOK LAPTOP MISSING ON AIRPEACE FLIGHT (LAGOS TO BENIN CITY)

A passenger, Mr Frederick Akpoghene, a resident of the United States, boarded a flight to Benin City on Monday 3rd October with Air Peace airline, with ticket number ATZ87YZ, he flew business class.

After boarding the flight, he was distracted by one of the stewards, who asked him to put his luggage above. In the process, he kept his laptop by the side of his chair.

During the course of his trip, he was offered a drink by one of the stewards, by name Williams who happens to be half caste. But he refused the offer.

In less than an hour the air plane arrived at Benin city and all passengers departed the plane. Mr Frederick took his luggage and left the scenes of the airport as his family received him.

Few hours later, that same afternoon, Mr Frederick checked his belongings and discovered that his laptop was not in his bag. After this realization, he remembered he left it in seat (3A) where he was seated in the business class isle in Air Peace plane.

He hurriedly drove back to the airport and reported to the officials at the premises of the airport about his laptop. He explained to them it was left on the plane, on the side of the chair where he was seated.

One of the staff that was on duty, a cleaner, by name Abubakar, confirmed that he saw the laptop that belonged to Mr Frederick in the process of cleaning the plane and he called the attention of the senior colleague to it, Mr Williams, who happened to be the lead crew of the stewards on that cabin.

However, Mr Williams shauned him and asked him to mind his business. Amidst all of this that was happening, the plane had not departed Benin city.

But they refused Mr Frederick access to any of the officials in charge of Air Peace airline. Till date, several attempts have been made to retrieve the missing laptop. Countless calls and emails have been made to the Air Peace customer care line as well as visits to Air Peace office however these have proved futile. He is demanding that Air Peace provide the cctv footage for that flight: P47170, Lagos to Benin City; 12:00pm-13:05pm on 3rd October, 2022.

This is to alert members of the Public and notify FAAN, Federal Consumers Protection Commission, Servicom, the Nigeria Police Force and the Managment of Air Peace should please come to the aid of Mr Frederick Akpoghene in retrieving his laptop from the culprits that are staff within Air Peace. Inability of the laptop being returned will cost Mr Frederick a huge loss because the laptop contains vital and sensitive information of great financial value.

In conclusion Air Peace airline should do all that is within its power to redeem its reputation by returning the laptop of Mr Frederick Akpoghene and rid itself of criminals within its system.
