Sorry about your loss. It's always important to have a back up of your blog/website done easily from cpanel. Any way, I think you can try http://securemyblog.com (not an affiliate link) for securing your blog. I know the owner of the product, he is a member of another online private forum where i am a member, and his method is very cool. He has had a similar experience to yours.

Pal . . . Always back up ur information. That's the first golden rule of programming. You were hack cos of your carelessness, maybe ur coding is not well protected, or ur cpanel password is quite easy or a dictionary word, or u download any thing you see online there by infecting ur system with spy virus or u are not careful with links sent to you. However, my advice to you is to always back up, change ur password(make it stronger), code well aspecially about database injection and lastly scan ya system with a strong anti virus and stop login in public systems. Be careful
