The European countries invaded, scrambled & partitioned West Africa in the late 1800's . The phenomenon later gave birth to the creation of Nigeria & other West African nations in 1900's, beforehand we had our thriving, industrious and wealthy organized powerful tribes and empires- Oyo, Bini, Ife, Igbo etc and Northern empires too before the British empire reign of terror decimated our empires slaughtered our kings, Queens and our people looting our heritage, history & cultural Artifacts and so much treasures currently displayed in their London museum.

Not sure why Ooni of Ife, Oba of Benin and powerful monarchs aren't using their office to demand our cultural heritage back to Nigeria.

Although FGN has been severally asking for those numerous items back but you know government can be compromised by diplomatic relations but if the monarchs make their demands directly they'll be within their authority and responsibility to defend their heritage.

Most of them are the statue of those kings & Queens that has no business in London museum.
