The Dam In Cameroun Should Be Bombed And Destroyed By The Nigerian Airforce. by vanunu: 3:53am On Oct 20, 2022
Hundreds of communities In Nigeria are experiencing severe flooding of biblical proportion, the most disturbing part of the whole thing is that the Nigerian government are not doing anything about it, they seem to be dumbfounded, without an idea of what to do to help millions of Nigerians affected by flooding, It is very disturbing that since the flooding started , we have not seen Nigerian government in action doing search and rescue and providing help to the flood victims.
This is very serious, it seems there is no government in Nigeria, victims are left on there own, without help, in other countries , by now you would have seen the army, navy, civil defense, police and airforce doing search and rescue in these flooded communities, but they are all missing in action, what a shame, what kind of country do we really have?

The earlier you know, in Nigeria, as long as you're not an elite or related to them, whatever the case, you're on your own, the better.
How many of the victims did you see or hear calling on the government too?

They didn't…
Right?
Yea…
Because they know the government will not respond.
So, they try to survive on their own.

So, as long as the government is still in the hands of the plunderers, this country will never work.
Likewise, for as long as Nigerians keep restoring her leaders from the National Recycle Bin of ex-servicemen and politicians, this country will remain stagnant, or even moon-walking, if not sliding down the drain.

The same plunderers, who failed to move it forward in the past, will come back promising they will fix it now, and gullible Nigerians too will carry them on the head like gala and start advertising them like an Affiliate Marketer.

They'd return to office, plunder more, wreck and wretch the people more and still hail themselves for doing so.
Who says anything?
No one. And yet, the masses would still see them as demigods.

If Nigeria United will not work, then let every man find his square root; gather his kinsmen and live as one.

You are are simply crazy, the Camerounian government should not have activated the dam since they know that Nigerian government have not built their own and the dam will cause flooding.

It is your type that are in government in Nigeria.

So, CAMEROUN should keep waiting for an unserious nation called Nigeria when their Dams are threatening to tear.

Go & Study the Topography of Cameroon, you will understand Cameroon sits on a more higher peak than Nigeria, same applies to Adamawa, Taraba and Northern Cross River state, hence the direction of flow of current. Becos of this, Cameroon is more privileged. Education no be only to carry school bag. Try & study beyond ur scope of enlistment so as to show urself approved. Dey can't disengage dia Dam to pls u.

But since the only way you can stop the FLOODING is to further BOMB their Dam.... Please go ahead. After all, I no dey Naija. You can equally Bomb the Cameroon mountains causing impediment to flow into Nigeria. grin grin grin grin.
Better beg MODS to delete this TOPIC because it's not only an embarrassment to Nairaland but an embarrassment to Nigeria. Even PMB or Emi lokan wouldn't think this way.

ah ah bro.....why u de reason like this naw....do u actually know the level of destruction it would have caused camerounians on their side if they hadn't opened their dams .....as it's happening here in Nigeria, so it was and would have gotten worse in cameroun if they hadn't opened their dams to release water at certain levels......You should be vexing for your Nigerian leaders for having not built theirs over the years just to help cushion the rapid and severe inflow of water into their territory even when their neighbours(Cameroon) adviced them to.....

Cameroon as a country is located on higher grounds than Nigeria....as ofcourse u aware that water flows from higher to lower grounds.....Imagine putting your suggestion "BOMBING " into place, who do u think heavy surge of water is gonna affect the most?....U should be thankful to the camerounians for having withheld certain volumes of water for a couple of days to give Nigerians living at river banks much times to relocate before the impending doom..

BLAME YOUR GOVERNMENT BRO...

This one is a baby that just had access to Phone.

Both countries had agreement to dam the system, Cameroon has done theirs , Nigeria budgeted theirs but did not execute the project.

This happened 10 years ago, it will happen again 10 years from now. If you don’t elect responsible leaders who should do what they ought to do, you will get the same result.

Doing the same thing and expecting different result is a recipie for insanity.

useless heading I didn't bother reading the body but you know there was an agreement btw both countries and Nigeria agreed to build a dam to cushion the effect since 1978 but till now the dam has been neglected. So whose fault

After reading all of these there's no reason to insult the guy before correcting him, yes he might be ignorant by not making his research before talking even I didn't know Cameron was on a Higher ground than Nigeria until Now. That been said, what's the suggestion? How can this issue be rectified? Should we also build our own dams? Well that's an obvious Yes question but with this current flood, how can it be averted, fixed and prevented in the future?.

Things like this never bothers a black Man and I wonder but when it's affects a community in America even pastors in Nigeria would join the slogan, " our hearts and prayers are with you"

my brother, Nigerian politicians are busy fighting for an unseen 2023.

This is the major reason why Nigeria should be restructured or completely divided according to ethnic lines so that everyone will focus on his family issues.

I see no reason why Nigerian government shouldn't construct more dams in the south after seeing this enemous amount of water. Maybe they don't want the south to have steady light.

Without the dam it will b a regular occurrence.
It is only opened to relieve the strain on the structure when on its brink.
The Nigerian government has decided to ignore the cries of its citizen cos their loved ones do not participate in our struggles, they r abroad being groomed to takeover leadership in future time n only come back during election time
Imagine if this happened in a civilised nation the government would provide relief packages n also donations from influential citizens who aspire to lead one day but for Nigeria our leaders Dey even hide our palatives wey foreign government give us oo
ITS SO PAINFUL

those countries your making reference to, the govt don't subsidize for them, they pay heavily on tax, the elites there can't afford to build house only hyper elites, their private sector are very functional and pay tax. Everything works, so the govt becomes more than capable of solving their problems. Can that be said of Nigeria?

it can work in Nigeria with the proper structure put in place
Can u pay tax when jobless?
Can u renew drivers license when agbero has collected all u worked for n spent all money on the car maintenance due to bad roads
When the government does the right thing all these outflows will b going into the governments coffers as tax

The cluelessness of Nigerian leaders and politicians always causes her citizens to suffer disastrous setbacks. Constructing a dam has been difficult for the Nigerian government since 1977, an agreement they entered with Cameroun to hold the water when Cameroun opens their dam and channel the water as irrigation in Adamawa and other states in Nigeria.

Several governments have come and gone and none has been able to construct a dam, yet these useless governments have embezzled massive funds that would have been used to construct the dam over and over again.

Cameroun government is not at fault, they kept their side of the bargain, and you don't expect them to hold on and get destroyed by the flood which will also affect the current localities suffering overflooding in Nigeria right now.

The onus is on the Nigerian government.

For you to come up with the headline “bomb Cameroon dam” doesn’t really set you apart from these morons in charge of administration in Nigeria. Why didn’t NIgeria build a bulwark to counter the effect of water deluge from the Cameroon side? Why wait till it’s a doom then start in our usual manner of complaining after the incident rather than take a proactive steps to forestall such disaster. see photo below:
