Manifesto: Tinubu’s 10 Promises To Nigerians by iwaeda: 12:20pm On Oct 21, 2022
The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, on Thursday, released an 80-page policy document that highlights an eight-point agenda.

The PUNCH reports that top on his priority lists of action plans was national security, economy, agriculture, power, oil and gas, transportation and education.

In the manifesto exclusively obtained by The PUNCH on Friday, Tinubu said his objective is to foster a new society based on shared prosperity, tolerance, compassion, and the unwavering commitment to treating each citizen with equal respect and due regard.

Here are 10 promises of the former Lagos State governor contained in the manifesto.

1. Build a Nigeria, especially for our youth, where sufficient jobs with decent wages create a better life.

2. Manufacture, create, and invent more of the goods and services we require. Nigeria shall be known as a nation of creators, not just of consumers.

3. Export more and import less, strengthening both the naira and our way of life.

4. Continue assisting our ever-toiling farmers, through enlightened agricultural policy that promotes productivity and assures decent incomes, so that farmers can support their families and feed the nation.

5. Modernise and expand public infrastructure so that the rest of the economy can grow at an optimal rate.

6. Embolden and support our young people and women by harnessing emerging sectors such as the digital economy, entertainment and culture, tourism and others to build the Nigeria of tomorrow, today.

7. Train and give economic opportunity to the poorest and most vulnerable among us. We seek a Nigeria where no parent is compelled to send a child to bed hungry, worried whether tomorrow shall bring food.

8. Generate, transmit and distribute sufficient, affordable electricity to give our people the requisite power to enlighten their lives, their homes, and their very dreams.

9. Make basic healthcare, education, and housing accessible and affordable for all.

10. And, most importantly, establish a bold and assertive policy that will create a strong yet adaptive national security architecture and action to obliterate terror, kidnapping, banditry, and all other forms of violent extremism from the face of our nation.

Agbado promise inside a fake non existent manifesto.. if na lie.. ask poo'hari about the APCSHIT manifesto in 2015....

To let you know that they don't even believe in their own abracadabra Manifesto... they had to carefully avoid using "APCSHIT releases it's manifesto " and instead use Thief'nubu releases his manifesto.. cheesy grin

You can't seperate Thief'nubu from APCshit...

Wait first.. dis one na long story.. where is Thief'nubu during the fake unveiling of the empty manifesto cheesy

Punch the lazy media, are those the only highlight of the manifesto?

There are lot of highlights from that policy document. Some of them are:

—The policy document gives student the right to borrow from TetFund to pay school fees and they pay back in installment when employed.

— Establish new management system for federally funded primary & Secondary schools. This will be managed by boards of education and the membership will include members of the local communities who will have decision making powers. This board will oversee management of all government school within a given locality.

—Establish through new legislation a special education fund consisting of zero coupon bonds. The bonds will be sold in tranches to private investors or purchased in market clearing exercise by CBN. This will find universities while reducing the per capita tuition cost to students.

—NSCDC will now be handling VIP security and the police will focus on the usual securing of the populace.

—He will introduce Forest Security Force which will be a section that will man the forest in Nigeria to gather intelligence and act on it.

—Anti-Terrorist Battalions (ABATTS) will be created and they will be drawn from special squad with strategic and tactical abilities to go after terrorism and bandits.

—Merge housing agencies into a single vibrant one and they have three main core functionalities:
-Grant low interest rate mortgage.
-Guarantee qualified mortgages through bank.
-purchase mortgages from private banks.

—We are moving away from budget projection based on dollar value of oil revenue. The fiscal methodology will base the budgeting on projected level of government spending which optimizes growth and jobs without causing unacceptable level of inflation.

—He Introduced commodity boards for farmers which establishes minimum prices for cashew, cocoa, okra, palm, cassava, and etc. which will guarantee them that their proceeds will be fully bought. This will be done in conjunction with the private sector.

—Establish a FG funding for local government to construct storage facilities in major marketplaces of major cities/town to minimize waste and better preserve perishable food items.

—Establish special Enforcement and monitoring unit with mandate to protect the pipelines by deploying technological interventions of stationary aerial monitoring platforms. This will support the goal of increasing oil production to 2.6mmbpd by 2027.

—Create host communities Development Trust which will foster greater assistance from oil company to host communities. He will also mandate IOCs to assign a share of revenues towards knowledge sharing and tech transfers to indigenous companies.

—Decongest the Apapa Port and encourage greater use of other major seaports in the country such as Onne, Warri and Calabar. Our policies will include tax relief, credits, relaxed duties and tariffs and other financial incentives.

Same promises that will be shamelessly denied and remain unfulfilled? Which electricity is Tinubu talking about? What happened to the "vote out PDP to have stable electricity"? and "to provide 24 hours electricity is not rocket science"? statements after the past 7 years?

A chronically sick, cognitively impaired and Parkinson's Disease inflicted baba wey no well wants to provide basic healthcare for Nigerians, but didn't build a hospital in Lagos to take care of his health needs while he can hop to cosy London/France hospitals?

Which one is ABAT?

Why not ATB? He hasn't even entered he is trying to append his signature on strategic national establishments like he is doing in Lagos.

We reject Tinubu and his evil intention for this country

Liars. Dem don come again grin grin grin

Buhari is a reformed democrat...blablabla

Buhari fought the maitasins in borno when he was governor of the north east so, he'd deal with boko haram (uncle Dele Alake reiterated this script on channels TV several times in 2015)

Buhari did well as minister of petroleum
during the military days so, he'd improve the sector.

Buhari will stop all political office holders from seeking medical treatment abroad

Buhari is the messiah we need in Nigeria

Buhari will fight corruption

Buhari will fight insecurity

Buhari will stop fuel subsidy because its a scam.

Nigerians, Tinubu told us all the lies stated above and now, we're all suffering from his lies and nursing the wounds. He's the fada of propaganda.

Before you vote next year at the polls, consider the below:

For those waiting for manifestos and debates...

Someone with good oratory skills will always shine at debates..

Anyone can write manifestos for anyone...if you have the money...it's in the news one of the aspirants was accused of paying only for 2019 when he used the manifesto written for him..and he is yet to pay for 2023 for the same manifesto to be used.. grin cheesy grin

Then, how do we know who can actually perform...that's where past antecedents, while in Government can help us determine who the cap fits.

How they govern...how they have utilise scarce resources, money and people at their disposal.

God bless Nigeria.

The 10 Lies

I'm sure the manifesto was drafted by Lie Muhammed because he's very good at crafting cunny documents like this.

The only promise Nigerians want from you is to step down from the race. We do not want a candidate that wants to build on the legacies of Buhari.

You are an unnecessary distraction to the other competent candidates. Please withdraw from the race.

Lies.

Tinubu can't write or say all those by himself. They helped him wrote it.

Let him come live and tell Nigerians by himself what he will do,how he got his wealth and whether or not he is a graduate and went to sch.

Until all these being ascertained,he should stay away from Aso rock.

Check my sig and patronize me today ,thanks.

embarassed The only promise Emilokonvict will accomplish is filling the streets with his urchins in strategic positions like he did in Lagos

This is an unrepentant, wicked man that could orchestrate a prison break for urchins to be freed like he did in 2020 for them to disrupt end Sars protests.

A hoodlum that could send soldiers to unleash mayhem on innocent people despite not being their commander in chief.

It must never happen! Even his die hard urchins that are close to him are aware of it and are looking to flee the nation win their families.

North Korea will be paradise compared to what the cocaine dealer plans to do with the country

That’s ok to promise, but what happened to the last one he promised and co-signed on Bihari’s behalf. He didn’t even even push an inch when so many atrocities were going on to show he tries to maintain a leave of integrity.
What makes him think Nigerians should believe him this time?

If una vote this man, una go suffer, Buhari isn’t proud but you see this one? He will deal with y’all and ask you to do your worst…Use the Bvas opportunity and ensure he didn’t smell that Presidency else you will come to tell the story in 8 years, even his back-up(Shettima) seem terrible(A bomber was found in his governors lodge, that explains it all)
