20 Million Out-of-school Children On Nigerian Streets Are Terrorists-in-waiting! by z07ion: 11:13pm On Oct 22, 2022
At one time Nigerian citizens under the Watch of Major General Muhammadu Buhari were told that Boko Haram terrorists had been technically defeated and at another time that they had been totally defeated!
Of recent Defence Headquarters through their spokesperson have claimed that terrorists were surrendering their arms ammunitions including their families to the Federal troops in their thousands.
However it is no longer secret that the terrorists were firmly on ground in several Local Government Areas of Borno, Yobe, Taraba etc, harrasing innocent citizens who are forced into allegiance to their authority and pay regular TAXES!

The last eight years of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Administration have been very scary, disastrous and calamitous due to unbridled insecurity across all geo-political zones and from all calculations without exaggeration more citizens have been killed in this 8 years than in the 16 years from 1999 to 2015!

BUHARI’S PROGRAMME OF DE-RADICALIZATION OF “REPENTANT” TERRORISTS!

Retired major general Muhammadu Buhari pursued a policy of de-radicalisation, rehabilitation and reintegration of Boko Haram Terrorists who claimed to have repented from all acts of terrorism, destruction of lives and properties and also surrendered arms and ammunitions in their possession.

BUT HAS THIS POLICY SUCCEEDED?

We have it on good authority that within months of de-radicalisation and integration into the various societies many of these pretentious combatants returned to the forest with classified information to futher attack, degrade, deplete, and decimate government’s highly guarded security hardwares at military installations!
And in spite of superior arguments by highly-experienced security experts against Buhari's policy the program still continues unabated.

In March 2022 over 500 ex-Boko Haram terrorists were released from the De-radicalisation, Rehabilitation and Re-integration Camp in Gombe State, at an official ceremony in which the forgiven enemies of the State of Nigeria were all dressed in uniformed outfits of the Nigerian Flag of white khaftans and green/white face caps to match!
In a speech delivered on his behalf the Chief of Defence Staff Major General Lucky Irabor admonished the ex-militants to exhibit high sense of responsibility through obedience to lay down rules and regulations and also by applying vocational skills acquired during their rehabilitation which included tailoring, shoe making, cap making, carpentry, laundry etc into good use as they began to enjoy freedom in the democratic dispensation.

According to Military Sources, not less than 8,000 Boko Haram terrorist including some foreigners from Niger, Cameroon and Chad had gone through the de-radicalisation program and more are still surrendering to the federal troops!

BUT A NEW GENERATION OF TERRORISTS ARE GROOMING ON NIGERIAN STREETS!

According to global data of UNESCO, 20 million out-of-school children between age 6-18, are roaming the Nigerian Street from East to West, North to South due to the absence of formal education.
For the past thirteen years and still counting, Boko Haram Terrorists sought to establish an ISLAMIC STATE in order to denounce WESTERN EDUCATION and have not relented in pursuing their evil agenda through several attacks on educational institutions, killings and kidnappings of innocent school children!
UNICEF Report also claimed that between the year 2020 and 2022 not less than 1,400 school children in Nigeria were kidnapped by these terrorists!

Does it not tantamount to policy somersault because on the one hand BUHARI’S GOVERNMENT is de-radicalising illiterate repentant terrorists while on the other, HE IS BREEDING 20 MILLION MORE ON THE STREETS!

And whereas so-called DE-RADICALIZED TERRORISTS still facilitate the kidnap of school children who are conscripted as child soldiers and sex slaves!

APC’S PROPAGANDA SUPPORTS EDUCATION FROM THE PRIMARY TO THE TERTIARY BUT IN REALITY THE SAME GOVERNMENT IS NOT FUNDING EDUCATION AT ANY LEVEL BUT ILLITERACY!
And whereas United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), recommended that at least 26% of the annual budgets of Developing Nations should be devoted to Education!
The highest allocation to education in Nigeria since INDEPENDENCE in 1960, has been a paltry 6%!

It should not be surprising because from Mr. President to the lowest Councillor at the Local Government Areas, most politicians only possess PRIMARY SCHOOL and forged SECONDARY SCHOOL CERTIFICATES to rule over the LITERATES who are 62.02 % of the 200 million population!
The PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM IN NIGERIA HAS FAILED! All the YOUTHS now roaming the streets of Nigeria including the recent crop of so-called politicians should embrace a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION BILL THROUGH CONVOCATION OF A REFERENDUM AND VOTE FOR A PRIME MINISTER IN 2023!
