When IBB annulled the June 12 election on June 23, 1993 & proposed an Interim National Goverment (ING), the
people democratic movement (PDM) group within the social democratic party (SDP) made up of Shehu Yar'Adau, Tony Anenih, Atiku Abubakar et al, embraced the ING when MKO Abiola and the likes of Bola Tinubu within SDP rejected it" Atiku was part of the People democratic movement (PDM) that participated in the interim national government (ING) & some of them were appointed by Shonekan. When Justice Dolapo declared the ING illegal, Abacha took over on Nov. 17, 1993 & decided to buy time by setting up the 1994 Confab instead of de-annulling it & swearing in Abiola.

Bola Tinubu and other democrats had formed the National Democratic
Coalition (NADECO) & rejected both Abacha & the Confab and insisted on respecting the wishes of Nigerians by de-annulling June 12. Meanwhile, Atiku and his PDM confederates took active part in Abacha's CONFAB.

In 1995, Abacha created a phantom coup plot & arrested Yar'Adua, who was the leader of PDM. As a result some PDM members decided to boycott Abacha's transition & his 5 political parties which were a facade aimed at crowning Abacha as consensus candidate for civilian Presidency.
But in desperation for power, Atiku joined one of Abacha's party, the united national Congress party (UNCP), and emerged as the favourite to clinch the Adamawa guber ticket before
Abacha suddenly died on June 8, 1998. At this time, the NADECO leaders like Bola Tinubu had all been hounded into exile by Abacha.
How could Atiku have opposed Abacha when he was part of one of Abacha's parties (UNCP) that planned to adopt him as a consensus candidate? It is a fat lie that Atiku went into exile! Let's see one publication of his time in exile;not pictures taken abroad while on business trips
Which platform of resistance against Abacha did Atiku join? We want answers. We had platforms like NADECO, National Conscience, NALICON, JACON etc. Indeed, it was Atiku's UNCP structures that eventually transmuted to the PDP structures in Adamawa State.
I heard a clip of Dele Momodu on channels tv interview telling today's children with no knowledge of history that "Atiku suffered for our democracy"
I'm sure Atiku was shocked to hear Dele Momodu called Tinubu a potential dictator. When it comes to money and clout chasing, he will sacrifice anyone no matter the relationship that exists between them.
Kola Abiola, the son of his benefactor is on the ballot, but he chose Atiku.

So he lost everything during the time of Abacha only for him to emerge in 1999 to become the governor of Lagos and today he is richer than Lagos cheesy with no business or company traced to him.
Please it is his turn to rule ur family members not Nigerians

‘New African Generation Has Decided to Refuse Western Domination,’ African Activist Says

Pan-Africanist political leader and activist Kémi Séba has spoken to Sputnik about Africa's role in the world and its relations with Russia. He believes that it is not for the West to decide whom Africa builds ties with.

Pan-African activist Kémi Séba, present at the Second International Youth Forum “Russia-Africa: What's Next?” held on October 24-26 in Moscow, in an interview spoke to Sputnik about the role of Africa in the new world order.
"In this multipolar world, we are witnessing an upheaval in the sense that a new African generation, of which I am a part, has decided to take its destiny into its own hands and to refuse the domination of the West in order to assume its own destiny," he said.

Having not forgotten the tenets of colonialism, Africa rejects "the neo-liberal Western dictatorship of the Western elite." The anti-French manifestations that are taking place in several countries on the continent prove that.

"The French government is so arrogant and so negrophobic that it thinks that the protests that are taking place today are just the result of Russian manipulation generating anti-French sentiment. They are so convinced that everything they do is good that they are unable to accept that the colonized people will eventually want to revolt. It is not the Russians who have created this feeling. It is we who created it," Kémi Séba explained.

As for the presence of Russian flags, the activist also sees it as "a kind of protest, a provocation of the African peoples because they know that Russia is now a country hated by the Western elites." "But this does not mean that Russia is our Messiah. We are the Messiahs of our own."

You people ehnnn!!!....chia there's God ooo!

Now back to the topic!
IBB cancelled the elections. Instead of Tinubu and Abiola to Agree for the ING, they said No! But Atiku and co. said yes!, If you Tinubu, disagreed for an ING, why didn't you use that same resolute and determination to face the troubles of Abacha? Why did you run away to exile yourself from the fight you started? and For Atiku, you are a back-stabbing fool! You supported Abacha when it fitted your aspirations, but when he arrested and detained your leader, you quickly changed sides to get power by all means necessary, and you are doing it again in 2023, after 30 years! You refuse to learn your lesson, as of '93, when you decamped from your party to Abacha's party to gain power knowing fully well what you did is morally and politically wrong, you did it again in 2023 knowing fullly well it's the turn of the south to produce presidency, secondly! The presidential candidate and the chairman of the party can't and shouldn't be from the same region, and you want to win this elections, it won't happen. As for Tinubu, you claim it's your turn, how?, did you fight for your turn in 93?, did you finish the fight you started......you ran away because you couldn't bear the heat, 30 years later, you claim it's your turn to become president. God thunder you there!
Atiku and Tinubu.......both of you are thieves of the same feather stealing together......No wonder!.....this as opened my eyes the more.
Tinubu and Atiku will never be president of this country. Never!

Including your Peter Obi would be wasted. Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Akintola, Maimalari etc were wasted b/cux they (Nzeogwu & co) wanted a fresh start, they ended up bringing the military into government. Abiola was wasted just for the simple reason that they wanted fresh starters in the political terrains, he didn't have any other crime hanging is neck, but what did you get? The return of Obasanjo & old retired military officers in civilian clothing. So, think deeply before spewing thrash.

Everyone has the right to be entitled to anything my brother, then u guys keep talking about Tinubu enriching himself from government. All over the world politicians use their office to influence certain benefits to themselves. Nancy Pelosi (US house of reps speaker) has influenced many benefits to her family, most US senators have high stakes in military contracts, China, Russia etc same thing happens. If Tinubu owns alpha beta as is being claimed I dare to ask what he did wrong. Is alpha beta not having a legitimate consultancy contract with the state government and are they not performing the job? Some say he own Hitech and other construction company in the state, same question are these companies not performing the jobs given to them? Same thing Peter Obi did with the brewery in Anambra state. So there is no Saint among these politicians, they all benefit from the position of authority. They are better than people like Ibori who launder raw cash abroad with nothing on ground in their states
