The world is becoming multipolar, but some countries are trying to "hold on to their faltering hegemony," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

"Literally before our eyes, the world is changing and is really becoming multipolar, but some members of the international community are trying at all costs to hold on to their faltering hegemony, use a wide range of political, military, economic, informational, and other methods and means that range from breaking the legal mechanisms of strategic stability to imposing unilateral sanctions against those who disagree with their policy," the president said.

Putin said these members of the international community "don’t shy away even from outright sabotage."

"I’m referring to the organization of explosions at the Nord Streams international gas pipelines," he said.

Putin said "the conflict potential remains very high in the world as a whole, as well as on the regional level."

"New risks and challenges to collective security are emerging, which is primarily the result of a sharp escalation of the global geopolitical confrontation," the president said.

Putin doesn't understand the future of World politics.
The World is moving towards a Central system of power and control with a single government.

He's still an archaic Soviet era politician that will be wiped off soonest.

Most countries are too large to be governed by one man or one administration.

Split the nations into smaller territories with common goals and aspirations.

No African man should govern a population of more than 50,000 to 100,000 citizens.

You are watching too much CNN, BBC et al, they have to convince you that the whole world is headed in that direction, so it's futile to resist
The Covid era of lockdown measures was a window into what a top-down One world govt would be like. You'd have to force people to give into the tyranny. No govt has enough police and army to enforce it
The West is moving towards a central system of one world govt., but the rest of the world is not.
Check how many nations have declared interest in joining BRICS...Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc
The rest of the world is refusing to go along with their delusion. The West is no longer influential. Their soft power is gone, so have to resort to coercion and propaganda
To suggest the whole world is willing to accept the values being imposed by the West is naive at best.

Very soon you'll understand why the World will adopt a Central government under one Supreme leader.

Anyone older than 2yrs can still remember covid lockdown measures.
That was a glimpse of the oppression that awaits those who accept the West's one-world agenda.Everything they are doing to Russia/Russians, they will do to you
I chose not to participate in covid, and I will not participate if they rule you. This is why I support Russia and the multi-polar world.
