Evolving from a single cell organism to multicellular is not just speciation. This is producing what is in effect a whole other type of organism just as the theory predicts. You might be thinking evolution is some kind of magic show that produces rabbits out of hats but thats your own misunderstanding of what evolution is.

Not sure why you are mentioning ligers. I gave you examples of speciation in the wild, how do ligers figure into that?
