If the pics are real that means they have come to secure their embassy. It has nothing to do with protecting nigerians.

Special forces can reside anywhere. These are military men, but their mission is most likely classified, meaning there is no point engaging these gentlemen in conversation.

Special forces and CIA agents stay in their places of choice which they believe have cleared security.
You need to watch more American movies than those Yoruba films of Odunlade and Toyin tomato

Special forces do stay in hotels when they don't want to be associated with their embassy due to covert missions that their country doesn't want traced back to them, also with this, whatever action they take, they would not have official protection from the embassy in case anything goes wrong.
They can also use safehouses for their stay.

Also its not only special forces that can come into a country, there are also private limitary contractors that can be used.

Una with fake news na 5 and 6, them write special forces for their forehead? Military men on special assignment overseas don’t wait in line, they are always cleared ahead of their arrival, most times they are picked up at the tarmac and driven off, mumu post.

They will never send a pure black man, like an African American man to fight in Africa, even though they have a lot of them in their military, cos these white dudes have no pure motives why they are in Africa.

Lol, are you for real? You mean US military came into
Nigeria for a special mission against terrorist and they decided to lodge in a popular hotel and then have their pictures taken and distributed all over social media?

Even the person that posted it responded to the first question with a laughing emojis to show clearly that it was a joke but you’re here with all your years on Nairaland defending something that makes no sense even to the dumbest person.

Not for the reasons you stated though, but you're hundred percent right in the fact that they don't stay in Embassies. They stay in hotels because embassies are a dead giveaway. Hotels are more private. In 2014, a team of specialists were sent to Abuja to assist and coordinate a proposed rescue plan for the Chibok girls then. They all stayed at Hilton Abuja and not at the embassy.

I don't know if these guys are indeed military. But a remarkable coincidence here is their physique and the fact that they do indeed make up a complete ODA squad of twelve. Some carry camo bags too.

They don’t want to be associated with their embassy because of the covert nature of their mission but they have no problem with taking pictures and posting it all over social media and telling whoever care to listen that they are US special forces in the country.

Guy, make una dey reason small before posting nonsense now.

Instead of using public hotels they use either their embassy or safe houses pock marked across the world.

Conclusion: I don't believe they are special forces. They may belong to some other force, but it is definitely not special.

*Check their bags very well.
*Check the arm and leg of that guy on white, you’d see tattoos.
*Check the hairstyle of the guy in the middle.

Special forces do not need to wear military fatigues from head to toes before you’d recognize them. It is only in Nigeria you’d see security personnel moving around with heavy arms and stuff! Military barracks are located in the outskirts of towns and cities, but here in Nigeria, barracks are even located in market places!

My advice, work on your eyes. You’d need them when the chips are down, else you’d embarrass yourself continuously in a public forum!

Every idiot now has an opinion.
You think special forces will line up in the hotel lobby with no one watching their backs and you will be taking pictures.

Look at their positioning, none watching their flanks and their 6.

This one wey rice don cost pass Igbo girls, those men are probably here to teach you how to plant rice make hunger no kill una for December.
