Lagos Democrats To Deliver 1 Million Youth Vote For Sanwo-olu by Omonaijablog: 1:16pm On Oct 30, 2022
The Youth Organizations in Lagos State are set to activate the Lagos Democrats Movement to mobilize and deliver 1 million Youth Votes to the re-election of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu in the coming 2023 Election.

We resolved to go all out and engage our contemporaries, especially the Non-partisan Youths to ensure the continuity of a government with practical plans for the Youths' Constituency in the State.

What to know about Lagos Democrats Movement

On the 27th of October, 2021, a group of cerebral young minds were in a discussion over the enduring efforts of Mr Governor targeted at addressing concerns of youths in the state over the years.

The youths all agreed that Mr. Governor has performed wonderfully well, particularly in areas of engaging, empowering, employing and making the youths feel included in his administration.

They described the governor's approach to governance as both democratic and technocratic, worthy of emulation by other leaders around the world.

This inspired the initiative to activate a platform sorely to engage the non-partisan youths, especially a good number of them who are not exposed to the dynamics of politics and are ready to learn and imbibe true political culture, pristine democratic principles as reflected by Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.

The movement will bring together members of the Youth Council (comprising Voluntary Youth Organizations & Community Based Youths Organisations), Instituted Student's Bodies and Community Development Association Youth Organizations to form a Youth Group Forum tagged the "Lagos Democrats" to help Young Residential Lagosians understand true democracy through Strategic Workshops, Trainings, Seminar and Practical experiences.

The focus of the movement will be to expose non-partisan youths to the nitty-gritty of politics, particularly to direct the political orientations of the youth to the right course.

For a start, The movement shall have 10 thousand membership strength spread across all youth structures stated above within the state and will be ready to undertake one of the special assignments, which is to embark on GetOutTheVote - GOTV Campaign (to deliver 1 million votes) for a man whom we believe has displayed stellar qualities of a true democrat in the coming 2023 General Elections.

Members of this movement shall first believe in the leadership style of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and voluntarily mobilize 1 million non-partisan youths in the state for the forthcoming election.

Membership is free.
