A lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi staye, Dr Azuama Onyedikachi has been offered a one year post-doctoral position in the Biotechnology centre, Silesian University of Technology, Slaskie, Poland.

The young academic who bagged her doctoral degree in France through the postgraduate scholarship partnership between the University and the French Government will be researching on "Melt Electrowriting of Hard-soft Interfaces Inspired by Deep Sea Sponges" during her time in Poland.

Dr. Azuama was offered the rare position after series of evaluation tests involving over 100 qualified candidates from all over the world of which she was the number one candidate of choice of the Silesian University of Technology, Slaskie, Poland.

While responding to the achievement of Dr. Azuama, the Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Sunday Elom, commended the scholar for the extraordinary feat, even as he charged her to be a good ambassador of the University in Poland.

He further enjoined other academic staff of the University to continue in the culture of academic excellence which the University is known for in their various disciplines.
