ASUU Strike Looms Again As FG Pays ASUU Half Salary

The Federal Government paid the lecturers under the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) half salaries for working for 18 days in October.

Speaking with the pressmen, , a senior member of the National Executive Council, said, “We were only paid for the days after the strike. I received a half salary. Other members are angry right now, they are blaming the NEC for calling off the strike.”

Another member, who confirmed the development, said, “Yes, it is true, I received half salary. It seems the government is set to kill unionism in the country but we are ready for them.”

The Academic Staff Union of Universities called off its eight month strike on October 14 after a lot of tension and tussle between the FG and ASUU.

The said 2009 agreements was signed by Yaradua, who was a former member of ASUU. Yaradua couldn't pay their excessive demands. Goodluck Jonathan came in, he is another member of ASUU. Goodluck couldn't pay ASUU's excessive demands.

ASUU now want to rope it on Buhari. Buhari is already dealing with their fuckup. ASUU go get sense by force.

Operation NO WORK NO PAY. Nigerians support FG on this.
