Billions Stashed In Governors Wike, Ganduje, Matawalle's Homes Uncovered By EFCC by TheLawAsItIs: 11:33am On Nov 04, 2022
Multiple sources on Friday identified the governors as Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, in exclusive interviews with SaharaReporters.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have discovered billions of Naira in cash stashed in various houses of some serving governors.

“They are in billions; that of Ganduje is purely kept in Kano but he has used some parts to pay for a hotel he’s building in Abuja. The hotel is at the back of the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre.”

“Zamfara governor, Matawalle kept his own in some houses he owns in Abuja while Wike has his own kept in Abuja and Port Harcourt,” one of the sources said.

In 2018, two videos of Ganduje allegedly receiving kickbacks from contractors trended on social media.

The videos published by Daily Nigerian, an online newspaper, showed the governor receiving bundles of dollars and putting them into his flowing dress known as ‘babanriga’ in the northern part of Nigeria.

The governor had reportedly requested $5 million from the contractors who recorded the video while handing part of the payment to him.

In one of the videos, the governor appeared to have received $230,000, which he hastily stashed in his ‘babanriga,’ a flowing dress common in northern Nigeria.

Useless piece of news without evidence. This is crass journalism! These sites push unsubstantiated information to us and expect us to stomach them. Sometimes the people behind these sites should be arrested, tried in court and jailed for at least 2 weeks and forced to sweep the streets. Maybe then they can do their job correctly.

Wike has stashed cash he wants to use and buy votes for Tinubu.

Same with Ganduje and Mattawale the accidental governor who couldn’t be loyal to the party through which he came to power.

Why are Tinubu suppprters like this?

From the highest placed to the street urchins under Oshodi bridge, they are all the same.

They feel they can subvert the people’s will through the use of brute force and money. But God will defeat them this time.

Lol.

For me, this is far from being revealing nor being able to nail any of them.

Nigerians are always clever by half.
Watch as they will beat the system to it.

Almost all governors, senators, ministers, HoRep Members, top police, army and Public officers are guilty of same crime.

Some store in hard currencies, properties, cryptocurrency, etc.

So I'm not moved at all.

All of them: the antigraft agencies, the judiciary and them in this country including the the youth that are shouting here on Nairaland has a PRICE

There has to be a limit to how news are reported without verifiable evidences.

Nigerian politicians are capable of any atrocities but then gross allegations like this should be backed up with evidences.
