@MaxInDHouse Since you can read the mind of Jesus, here is a question for you, why did Jesus allow the Roman soldiers to destroy His Father's house the Temple in Jerusalem, even though he drove out the money changers and those doing their hussle in the Temple? Yet Jesus told His Father in Heaven to forgive the Roman Soldiers that crucified Him but Rome still sent its soldiers to go and destroy the temple and Jesus did not stop them from doing so.

OK let's see reasons why Jesus allowed the Romans to DESTROY his father's house the Temple which happens to be the most cherished treasure of all Jews!

The Temple supposed to be God's house and since God is LOVE {1John 4:8} this predominant quality must be the number one goal of all those worshiping inside this house. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 compare to Mark 12:29-31

But by the time Jesus walked the earth worship inside the temple in Jerusalem has been turned into something else so there was no sign of love as various sects claiming worshipers of God kept causing division among themselves with lots of contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines yet claiming they're for the same God inside the same temple! undecided

That's why Jesus told them that he will destroy that temple and rebuilt it figuratively within three days! John 2:19

So Jesus began the rebuilding of God's temple when he started preaching LOVE among his own disciples {John 13:34-35; 15:12} so if Jesus' group successfully maintain LOVE among themselves the Jerusalem temple will become useless and God whose predominant quality is LOVE will start dwelling in the midst of true Christians. Luke 17:21 compare to John 4:23-24

So by the time Jesus completed his earthly ministry LOVE has been sown in the hearts of his disciples that's why God's angel which dwells inside the most holy left the Jerusalem temple at Jesus' last breath {Matthew 27:51} as a sign of rejection but the Jews never took note not until God's promises began manifesting in the midst of first century Christians {Act 2:4-18 compare to Joel 2:28-30} that's the sign of approval indicating God's presence in the midst of Jesus disciples. So when sincere and honest hearted Jews heard the meaning of what happened they were caught to the heart and begged the Christians saying:
"Men, brothers, what must we do?" Act 2:37

Faithful Jews became Christians and by the time Roman soldiers surrounded Jerusalem to destroy it faithful Jews who are now Christians followed Jesus' order and left Jerusalem {Luke 21:20-24} because there's nothing that concerns God's Son with the Temple where LOVE is no more!

Thanks, God bless you and may you have PEACE! smiley

NO! Jesus is the Son of the One whom the Jews worship in the temple but they later pursued him with stones out of the same temple!

So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid and went out of the temple. John 8:59

and Jesus was walking in the temple in the colonnade of Solʹo·mon John 10:23

Once again the Jews picked up stones to stone him. John 10:31

That's why he said:

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you did not want it. Look! Your house is abandoned to you" Matthew 23:37-38

So after all his effort to make them know the importance of LOVE in God's house was trashed Jesus abandoned their house (no longer God's house) to them {Matthew 23:38} because instead of doing God's will they were doing their own! Romans 10:1-3

But after Jesus assended to heaven His appostles were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.
Luke 24 51 - 53
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

YES! Their understanding of what happened was gradual it didn't occur to them that they're no longer wanted in the temple until the Jews begin attacking them! smiley

Naaaaaaaaaaaaa, you're quoting the Bible nah!
Ọmọ that's the same book i'm quoting so it's all about thorough meditation on what we read.
First century Jews were attacking the Christians everywhere they could find them so we don't need a soothsayer to start telling us that the temple is no go area for the Christians when the persecution began nah! smiley

john 2:19 is about the death and resurrection of Jesus body

Joh 2:19  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up
Joh 2:20  Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21  But he spake of the temple of his body
Joh 2:22  When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said

Father raised Jesus body through His Word, like Father does everything through His Word, or perhaps false jw's believe that Jesus Spirit/the Word of God, died along with His flesh body. It was the Man that died, not the Spirit

Father through His Word certainly did raise Jesus body in three days
hence Jesus rightly said: "Destroy this temple(body), and in three days I will raise it up"

This could only be understood by a Christian so i used the elementary method that anyone could grasp.
Of course in that verse Jesus was talking about the death and resurrection of the Christ who will become the temple of God through whom acceptable worship could be offered to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Thanks! smiley

@bold, Jesus was always the temple of God:
Joh_14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works

poor try though

2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

@underline, one can pray to and worship God through Christ, but one can pray to and worship God directly like Jesus said to:
Mat 6:9  Pray, then, in this way: Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name

The Roman empire occupying Israel at the time were the bad guys but made the Jews resisting their occupation to look like the bad guys.

To the Apostles Jesus has come to restore sanity in his father's house so they believe they can continue with his teaching inside that same temple unknowingly to them that it's not Jesus the Jews resisted rather it's his teachings! Act 4:18; 5:28

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, according to Jesus the end time has come {Matthew 4:17} so humans can't get anything good from human rule whether it's your own people that is in power or foreigners. Those Jews were only overwhelmed with the thought that a Jewish ruler like Jesus will make a big difference {John 6:15} but Jesus made it clear to them that Satan has hijacked the world's political system {John 14:30} so things will continue to get worse! Matthew 6:34
