They make this threat all the time and never do it and don't tell me that they're going to move to Ghana where costs and taxation are higher.

And how do they intend to be doing their product shipment to Nigeria, what of the embargo placed on those items? So sorry, your threat cannot give u all round positivity. It's either you relocate and not try to import or you stay put and re-strategize.

Not surprised.
In the last 8 years, cattle rearing is the main industry on the table of Nigeria's government of APC led by one Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu now says he wants to continue, not as leader of APC, but as president.

They actually have powers to move their operations from Nigeria to it's neighboring countries to produce
The problem is carbonated products are not the kind of business that you will ship or move a Ross borders that easily!
For example ,take Pepsi cola.(you cannot compare the sales in Nigeria to any west African market)
They have to move their products thru borders .only that one is enough to scatter there profit margin

Dont forget there is some arrangement with West African countries for free monement of goods, can't remember what is is called. If things like frozen ice cream can come all the way from ghano, I don't think carbonated drinks should be a problem.

What west Africa has is free movement of persons not on goods!
If you carry bag of cassava from Nigeria to cross to Benin you must pay duty
