Why You Should Drink Thyme

You may remember thyme from your spice collection as a member of the mint family, but it’s much more than just an ingredient.

Drinking thyme as tea might seem odd but in actual sense more medicinal than using it as spice.

1. Prevents Cancer
Few studies found that Terpenoids, a class of phytochemicals found in thyme, have antioxidant properties and may shield cells from cancer. The essential oils found in thyme helps inhibits breast cancer cell.

2. Lowers Blood Pressure
Potassium, a vital element of body fluids that helps regulate blood pressure and heart rate, is abundant in thyme leaves. Thyme extracts have also been observed to lower blood pressure in hypertension-related circumstances.

3. Prevents Yeast Infection
