Religious bigotry does not have a place among the Yoruba and that is why I was shocked when I saw how elections in Igboland turn to Catholic versus Anglican first before anything. So puerile and undemocratic.

If you think an average Yoruba who is a sensible Omoluabi will leave the comfort of his house to spend hours on queue under sun and rain to vote against an Asiwaju Tinubu, then you are naive niyen Forget those decieving you, instead of him to vote against Tinubu, he would rather abstain from voting or get there and void his vote.

The kind of vote Asiwaju will get from the Yoruba will be massive and unprecedented. Mark it down. That no single leading Yoruba politician , not even HE Seyi Makinde of PDP in Oyo state, has openly challenged him or campaigned against him tells you it is a done deal.

Asiwaju Tinubu ticks all the boxes and it is just a coincidence that he is Yoruba and he has mastered how to connect with his Yoruba base.

All those years he was backing candidates in other Yoruba states aside Lagos, he was building a direct link with the people, the traditional institutions and the Yoruba intelligentsia.

The day late Alaafin openly endorsed him and blessed him is a watershed too. Most of the Yoruba Oba even outside SW and Nigeria respect Alaafin a lot and he was a very strong voice in Yoruba affairs and politics. There is heirarchy and Alaafin was the apex then due to the stool, age, experience and influence. He was truly a powerful Alaafin. Ooni is the Spiritual Head but much younger and new on the throne. That he also endorsed Asiwaju was a huge advantage too.

Asiwaju Tinubu paid his dues by excellent service, humility and uncommon brilliance; he is extremely hardworking, brilliant and patriotic , that much you should have seen by now if you are a good student of politics.

That his famed Emilokan speech was a rallying call and it worked.
Asiwaju Tinubu is the best of all the candidates. It will be an injustice to select mediocre candidates over Asiwaju Tinubu who is the best among them. That is seen as injustice among the Yoruba hence we are voting for him.

Even among SW Christians, only the foolish ones among them will do so.

Not all SW christians will vote Tinubu, I even have a staunch BAT supporter that's a christian, I also have staunch supporter of Obi and the man's a muslim. CAN not supporting M/M is a plus to Obi I promise you, all of the church and it's members look up to the church as a superior power, the church doesn't need to tell it's members whom to vote, the body language says it all, the church isn't foolish as you think.

Out of 50% SW christians, Obi will still get 37%, Other christians will vote a M/M ticket. And for those saying muslims are more in the SW is nothing but pure lies. Christians are more than muslims in Nigeria with at most 1percent..
