No wonder you are looking for scapegoats to blame..
For your mind,690 Naira to a Dollar is a worthy achievement?

What is driving the rates down? Any change in fundamentals?

If the decline does not affect the prices of goods and services, then it's useless.

Abeg, let it continue to fall in Jesus name. I have dollars in my domiciliary account, but let dollars continue to fall tremendously. What is the gain of selling your dollars at a very high price and after using the money, u start to face the hardship that high dollar price is causing. It's better you sell at a low price, loose and still enjoy the stability that low dollar price will cause

But seriously though, I recall the Naira was stronger or at par with the British Pound and the USD back in the 1970s and early 1980s and at that time Nigerians flew regularly to the UK for holidays via British Caledonian 747, and/or Nigeria Airways DC-10, 737 and 747. Nigerians holidaying in the UK were treated by

Forget about dollar rising to 1k by December, in fact, it will likely crash against the Naira in December

Just by mere speculation? USD will be scarce by next week. It will only crash against the naira when there are more USD in circulation than what the market needs. Bank don't even have USD again.

Your eyes will be open soon

Nah your eyes go open soon. Sit down for there, make you dey speculate nonsense while hoping ₦ go enter 1k to a $.

The oil we pump daily don dey increase, Govt don dey use style remove subsidy, the Dangote Refinery will start operation first half of next year, but you still believe the ₦ go fall yakata.

I bought 73 dollars at the rate of ₦816 through piggy vest on Monday.......woke up this morning......and converted it back to naira at the rate of ₦801. I lost ₦1200. I was too scared to leave it with the way dollar was depreciating.

Piggyvest's rate did not drop. Buying rate and selling rate are not the same. If you buy at N816 by 7.30am and you liquidate by 7.31am of the same day, you will still "lose" that N1200. "Selling" rate is always lower than "buying" rate.
