Nwafor's SARS is under judiciary oversight by the Anambra State judiciary and office of the Attorney General who had the powers to inspect without notice all detention facilities and inquire when arrests where made and why the cases were yet to be charged to court.

The police does not have the powers of arbitrary detention more than 24hrs unless granted by a state criminal high court otherwise.

Obi had it in his powers to shut down Nwafor and his murderous SARS division.

Obi can not claim ignorance of the extra judicial murders , rapes , extortions and tortures carried out by Nwafor as both civil society groups , individuals and their relatives who passed through hell or never made it out, had petitioned Obi.

What could obi have done you say?

Well he would have ordered a judiciary inquiry into the activities of the Akwuzu SARS or even petitioned the IGP to investigate Nwafor but instead obi did nothing and waved aside the hundreds of petitions that flooded his desk.

How about these for facts

1. Anambra was the leading crime capital under Obi. Kidnappings and murder for hire were a daily occurrence.

2. Infrastructure decay was the bane and what little project that got connisioned was shoddily done and substandard.

3. State workers felt Obi's brunt as not only were salaries owed them for months , obi refused to even negotiate a salary up review and totally ignored the newly signed universal minimum wage.

4. Not stopping there, union staff of the state university and the umbrella body for medical practitioners went on strike with obi not giving a damn. The fallout was that for 13 months of strike by medical practitioners , all state hospitals remained shuttered .We can only imagine the suffering and unwarranted and avoidable deaths this might have caused.

5. Obi ran the state like a business . He increased school fees several folds across all tiers and declared brazenly that education is not for the poor and those who can't afford it should try ignorance. There were avoidable dropouts and those youth who did have their destinies stolen by this man's greed and insensitivity .

6. He left the state riddled with all manner of vice and avarice to the point that the Obi of Onitsha lamented the high density of drinking parlours and brothels across the state which was the only solace to young school age dropouts and widows .

7. Here is a man who in the name of downsizing govt cost sacked all non indigenes employed in the service of the state from the old Anambra state before it was balkanized. He never paid any of the disengaged staff some of who had served more than 25ys in service any severance pay or pensions to those qualified for such.

8. All in the name of "saving" Anambra money. Monies that he cornered to himself as his personal wealth and diverted to his business portfolio which as of today is now said to be worth shishi


No legacy. An insensitive govt . a govt that did not tackle social infrastructure or cohesion but saw to Anambra descend to criminality and vice.

And you want us to accept this failure and deceitful clown ?

You know what? When he loses next year, get him to run for governor in any of the other blighted states in the SE and let him replicate his money saving magic . You can start with that basket case of a state , Abia and work your way through the remaining other three.
