It is not improbable. A family friend to my cousin was kidnapped and they asked for 1 billion naira. This was at the height of the kidnapping when it had not spread past the Niger Delta. The guy works in Agip. The govt actually helped them negotiate till it was N30million and then they had to pay. The guy and his family relocated out of Nigeria sharp sharp. |
