The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi has vowed that if elected in 2023, he will lift 130 million Nigerians out of poverty.

He made the statement after attending the NKST Synod in Mkar, Gboko Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State.

The former Governor of Anambra state said that it is a crucial matter that his administration will address so that the people who fall under the category would be able to provide for their family, send their children to school and contribute to the development of the nation.

Obi made the pledge while speaking with newsmen at the JS Tarka stadium, Gboko, Gboko LGA of the state on Friday.

The LP flagbearer’s comment comes on the back of the figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) which reports that 63 per cent of Nigerians lives below the poverty line.

He said; “I came on the invitation of the Synod to talk to them about the next election, which I say is a crucial election.

“Like I said, the release shows that Nigeria is about 216 million in population, and it is said that 130 million people are in poverty, that alone should be of concern to us, and that is my major concern too.

“How do we get these people out of poverty? This to me is crucial, and that is why I am here to help them make the right choice.

In Nigeria, there is a difference between good morning madam and madam good morning.
The 2nd one is mostly used when there is "wa.r"

Peter Obi has done his calculations. He did same as governor of Anambra State. He alone met the MDG successfully in Nigeria and the United Nations invited him to the UN Headquarters in New York to share the secret of his success with the rest of the World. We Nigerians do not realize what we have in Peter Obi. God forbid that we reject him at the polls! One developed country would just spring up and snap him away!
OBI IS PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA-IN-WAITING!

And the lies continue!

Peter lies too much!

Any one can say that! What is the feasible blueprint!

Asiwaju made mention of Agriculture which was a feasible measure to create jobs .

Peter should stop telling us what anybody can say. I can say better lies than that if I am permitted to

Not telling us that you will will relocate Nigerians to Mars

Ever since PO has started his campaign, I'm yet to see anyone who testify about how obi has helped them or pay for their health bills, and yet he keeps making empty promises.
