A lot of people including myself will tell you that knowing HTML, CSS and JavaScript is enough to get your first job. But are those skills enough? what I mean is, you can't just go and learn a little bit of HTML, CSS and JavaScript on YouTube or on a Udemy course, or through freecodecamp or the Odin project, all the other paid services out there like Codecademy, Linda, Treehouse and all these places like if you just learned a little bit of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, that's not going to get you anything. It definitely can, stop the gatekeeping. Obviously you need to be grounded in the fundamentals and then ground yourself on technologies(mostly libraries and frameworks) within those languages. Since you learnt HTML (learn markdown and bash scripting). Since you learnt CSS (learn bootstrap, tailwind, SASS, SCSS, LESS, etc). Since you learnt JavaScript (learn Node.js, React for view management and redux for state management). HTML, CSS and JavaScript is enough for basic email development and then if you want to go further you can. |
