One year ago, the Lagos State Government said that it needed to demolish some structures to recover the Right of Way (RoW) and to successfully execute the junction improvement works at the Ikeja underpass.

This is as the state government said it had engaged stakeholders on access to construction sites at junctions and underpass to ease gridlock on Ikeja roads.

The statement said, “The Transportation and Traffic Management as well as the Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy pillars of the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda could best be achieved through massive investment in road infrastructure development and renewal.’’ end quote.

The improvement work which was expected to last for duration of eight months has taken longer than normal, but work is certainly ongoing as we can see on the clips showing.

Nigeria’s commercial nerve center Lagos, is constructing a light rail system under a public-private partnership (PPP). The Lagos Rail Mass Transit System project is sponsored by the Lagos State Government (LSG) and being developed by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) on behalf of LSG.

LAMATA has proposed seven lines in the network: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Brown and Orange.

China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) was appointed as the contractor for the construction of the first line (Blue). The contract includes the fundamental design and development of the rail infrastructure.

Are de worst.
Infact they are d most miserable in d last four years
